If you can find "the lost Shangri la" station, I think it's derelict delta, its got some simulated damage. Maybe some of that would be good to emulate?

What everyone is suggesting is an " all or nothing" approach. Armor what's important, and put the most armor around the most important systems. You'll probably also have to layout your systems in such a way as to minimize how crippled you'll be at the end of the fight lol

I think missile/cannon should stay as it is, since cannon has a secondary effect of enabling rapidfire.

I still think that an explosive round shouldn't detonate until after it's penetrated as far as it can. It doesn't make sense how the effect is applied now. That's really the main part of the suggestion that I like.
