I voted this funny out of spite.

      Incentives to Expansion (Anti-Turtling)

The logic behind making an experience appear rewarding by making that experience a pain in the ass seems awfully flawed. Currently, I rather just get mining done with and with success so I can get to the other more interesting parts of the game (we need to make the interesting parts of the game...

      Aux Power & Gigantism

Yeah no kidding dood. It's why I stopped playing those overly grindy MMO's. I feel as if people need to realize that Starmade is not an MMO title and should suggest things with that in mind.

      Incentives to Expansion (Anti-Turtling)

If you can create a ship that can "patrol" or traverse space to that extent, than sure- you deserve the reward but it still does not remove the risks involved entirely. Of course, it depends if the crew can be transferred from one ship to another which will raise certain concerns with levels of...

      Incentives to Expansion (Anti-Turtling)

And is that a problem? I don't think so. An auto pilot function wouldn't be bad either. And to be quite fair, if you're flying in a random direction, I wouldn't be surprised if you woke up one day finding your ship colliding into planets, burned by sun damage or destroyed by NPCS and or players...

      Aux Power & Gigantism

If you think the entire community is going to agree spending 5 months farming and mining asteroids for hours on a game like Starmade, I'd like to know what you're smoking. Plus if the game were to set it that way, people will just add bonuses. So I have to agree with Gasboy.

      Incentives to Expansion (Anti-Turtling)

Well that's a good point we don't need gold sinks, we need activity sinks. If someone is cargo humping, they could perhaps own a freighter company and do something with that cargo, giving pirate players an incentive to attack as they deliver cargo to various NPC'S.

Bigger isn't an issue entirely, you forgot the fleet spam. People generally build bigger because they can, but people build "more" because it's more viable.

      Why we don't share

      1. No reason to 2. No reason to 3. No reason to Unless I am a part of a faction and have a role-play incentive to do so.

      Incentives to Expansion (Anti-Turtling)

I don't thing maintenance costs will solve anything and I agree with your statement at least not unless it's done a certain way. I think credit maintenance costs should be implemented as gold sinks for factions that are well developed. Taxing everyone just for having a ship or a station would...

      StarMade Ship Size Comparison Chart

Better start figuring out where to put a 600m vertical ship, it's approaching the finish line. C:

      Incentives to Expansion (Anti-Turtling)

I find it troublesome how the community is suggesting methods and ways to punish players for un-docking or exploring sectors with their larger ships and to punish people for turtling feels really fucking retarded. So I am going to suggest some biblical methods of approaching this dilemma...

      Aux Power & Gigantism

Mining bonuses should be balanced with over-saturation in mind but it shouldn't really take that much time of daily farming to get anything accomplished. In fact some servers enforce rules such as, "only one titan per faction" some even make you register the titans or they'll be hunted down and...

      What choice do I got?

I think regardless of what choice to you make, positioning takes priority. This is why turrets are so powerful, they enable the pilot of the ship to concentrate on positioning their weak points away from the enemy while the turrets do the work. Of course the smaller your ship, the more you have...

      Ship Classification

That's a good system for me. I am making fleets and battleships are going to be a general asset in my upcoming releases as center points of those fleets, mostly used to kill titans. And yeah, I recall pencil ships being a thing!

      Aux Power & Gigantism

I've played Starmade on a crappy laptop before and even build titans on it. It was all fun and games until my detestable macbook begun burning out at the rate of a Nixie Tube. But you know what I did besides blaming people with titans? I worked extra hours when I was employed, saved enough...
