      Yea. Pipes *should* have rotation enabled. Animated textures are currently unable to rotate.

      Ah i see. Because slabs currently occupy the same space as a full block, they have the same structural stats as a full block. Your suggestion would allow 1 full hull block to cover more space, for less cost, at the same stats by using the slab form. Unless structural stats changed per slab...

      Slabs work on the grid system similar to all other block types for performance reasons.

      Slabs Confirmed

      Slabs currently use the same slot as a full block. You simply specify the slab size before placing it. Picking up the slab will give you back a full block.
