      buff dumb missiles

Am I wrong to say, though, that for all the space you could have matched the missile modules with beam modules, that if you instead just added more missile modules, that you'd then have a much stronger dumbfire torpedo?

      I need help with Docking

I think their functionality was entirely disabled - they were kept in the game so that older ship designs would not be corrupted when loaded into the game.

      Swarm Missiles Target Enemy Ships

I agree that the swarm missiles should not lock onto only enemies, but I feel bad that so very often, issues with declaring war automatically, griefing, or causing incredible damage to a newer player's inefficient ship are so often followed by a "oh my god I'm so so sorry, I had no idea that...

Suggestion: Remove "Recognized By Council" Tag (And Alternatives)

Thanks for the clarification- I then suggest that we remove the tag all together? If I may be dreadfully straight, it sounds very circle-jerky to me. The Council is supposed to work for the players, and so I don't feel like anyone's particulars ideas should/ should not be able to be given the...

StarMade live Q&A session. Come check out the new spawn station!

The video that now occupies space on the News page now represents nothing, as it was not recorded, and does not appear in the playlists that appear in the Offline menu. I suggest editing this news entry.

Suggestion: Remove "Recognized By Council" Tag (And Alternatives)

Heya, this is just a very simple suggestion, here. I would like it if the forum tag "Recognized By Council" instead said "Read by Council", like the "Read by Schine" tag. This implies the Council has come together to discuss an idea, and then stamped the thread to say "this has been talked...

Transporters: no transport on same entity

Thanks for the feedback. I think you're totally right and justified about how laggy and inconsistent multiplayer -IS- right now. But I had an interesting thought on that that I wanted to share: When we all began getting deep enough into Starmade to be posting on its forums, we chose to...

      Recognized "Point at" navigation key

I figure the simplest most effective way to do this is to have a key guide your ship or what you're driving in (or maybe even your own self) to face towards your target. No extra bits and bobs required.

Read by Schine Outline: Organizing Inventory/Storage By Volume

I agree, as cool as the new systems for inventory and ship cargo will work, volumetric sorting is just easier to manage than stacks of items.

Sensors as an effect instead of a system

They are not vital, so maybe it's okay if they were easy to hit- again, anything to discourage people from buildings giant armored cubes.

Transporters: no transport on same entity

I agree with the OP, I think that being able to easily warp around spots in the ship make designing most of the interior redundant. It's an easy way to have future AI navigate the ship, yes, but it's just too easy for my liking. I feel like lots of people would like to teach the AI to use an...

Sensors as an effect instead of a system

I mean, I agree that maybe forcing the player to have a big antenna sticking out of some direction may be silly, but I think it's less silly than asking a player to arbitrarily stick a line of antenna modules buried somewhere in the ship to never be seen again. I definitely feel that the...

Sensors as an effect instead of a system

I really like this ideas- the mixture of system combinations you've come up with make a lot of sense, and I find that they are reasonable in the sense of what is possible, versus what is too much to ask for. I really like the scanners' antenna are really cool, but made nearly useless. I'd love...

Read by Schine Outline: Organizing Inventory/Storage By Volume

Your tone confuses me, so I rewrote the beginning of the post. I never intended for the tone of my original post to sound as if Schine never knew, or were too dumb to implement my idea. That's not what this thread was ever meant to be about. I'm sorry it may have come off that way. I will...

Well what do you think makes it so unlikely? I'd love the voice of god to comment, here. lol

Thanks, still looking for more feedback- what could we change to make it even better for Starmade though?

Read by Schine Suggestion: Practical Alternative To Player-Races

"We are initially planning on limiting the number of skins you can have to 3. Each skin will need to be sent to our CDN provider, which will store a copy in over 30 different geographical locations. This is to ensure that no matter what server is downloading your skin, it will come from a server...

Read by Schine Suggestion: Practical Alternative To Player-Races

The thing is, I think expecting custom alien races isn't a realistic request, at least not for a long while. So that's why this suggestion is meant as like, a stop-gap.

Read by Schine Suggestion: Practical Alternative To Player-Races

So, firstly, I am referring to this: http://starmadedock.net/threads/global-skins.20865/ , a thread in which it is confirmed that we will, at some point, have the ability to carry skins to servers that we join. It is my view that while the suggestions of players are obviously extremely...
