Void Templar: A democracy built on a code of conduct

Really love the texturing on that ship, and the shape really reminds me of a few things I've seen in other games.

The Odium Pact "acta deos numquam mortalia fallunt"

I've been reading this and finally got a chance to write on something not a mobile device, so I do have a few thoughts. First off, about what Obi said about honor and battle, fact is, there's way to gain honor that doesn't involve combat. And also, combat itself and even victory isn't an honor...

The Odium Pact "acta deos numquam mortalia fallunt"

Sun Tsu's a very clever person whose tactics are still used to this day. I think it's pretentious if he's misquoted though, which isn't the case here. :P

      Weapons Demonstration: News and Discussion

My concern about the hotfix is that it really does a number on turrets. No trace on radar, no actual shots being fired.

      Weapons Demonstration: News and Discussion

I really like how this is looking, moreso that I think some of the weapon combos for missiles might make the missile block more interesting than it already is. I was wondering, can you link multiple secondary effects together? Like if I want a couple of multishot rockets and have them fire off...

      System Security Force

I like the idea of this faction, I think the idea of an anti-troll group is pretty nice. However, if your goal is to keep people from picking on the new guy, how does special ops help with that? I also guess it depends on what your definition of special ops is.

      Question about the dev builds

While I am not certain, I think you have to had purchased the game for access to dev builds. It might help explain the CRC errors.

Void Templar: A democracy built on a code of conduct

One of the things I have to say that impresses me about you guys is that quest for understanding option. I don't think I've heard of such an idea until now through most the other games I've played. I've seen members from allied clans in Mech4 ladders mix member, but usually it was more for...

      An Apology

I don't want to sound too condescending, but it does bother me more and more how common doomsday complaints are in general anymore. It feels like anytime something doesn't go perfect, the sky's about to giveway to fire and brimstone. Yea, people like Incap and the Vaygr who provided action left...

What Creatures/Aliens and other life forms would you like to see?

I was thinking maybe certain blocks that it can't grow on, maybe like sand. I was trying to think of something that could act as a barrier against the mushrooms, but not be easy to obtain so it doesn't turn into every station has sandy carpets. (come to thing of it, fungus can grow on walls too...

What Creatures/Aliens and other life forms would you like to see?

An expansion on my shroom concept, I was thinking of a possibility that these shrooms travel around by either some spore pod that flies through space to other planets to start growing by crashing into the surface where it leaves mycelium kinda like how grass patches are. After some time, this...

What Creatures/Aliens and other life forms would you like to see?

I was reading the zerg idea, and thought of "What if it could like a fungus, making instead of a shroom island, we could have shroom planets!" The other idea I had was something a bit more tame, I remember from one of the star trek games there's being these ships that communicate through energy...

[Discussion] Tired of hearing "soon"? Thoughts on the Q&A

It's less you against schema and more about me trying to bring up a point and being constantly ignored when trying to bring up a counterpoint. If it was the beginning of a major update like this one or the last optimization, I'd have a very hard time disagreeing with you, but we aren't in this...

[Discussion] Tired of hearing "soon"? Thoughts on the Q&A

That's the thing though, the code is NOT clear like what you are talking about. People like the SMEdit guys have tried and have had a hard time doing what you just mentioned. I'm sorry for the bold, but this is the third time I've said this now. Stop talking like it is when it is NOT. And there...

[Discussion] Tired of hearing "soon"? Thoughts on the Q&A

There's a few things going on in that paragraph actually. 1. According to who worked with the code to create SMEdit, the code was hard to read and work with. Which means either he has to re-write his code so others can understand it better (and use more comments probably (guilty of this...

[Discussion] Tired of hearing "soon"? Thoughts on the Q&A

gravypod Actually, it doesn't always work that way. For example, with SMEdit, the person who was maintaining it complained of obfuscated code, which means it's tricky to know what's going on. I would be stunned if this isn't also a part of the organization tasks that Schema mentioned earlier...

[Discussion] Tired of hearing "soon"? Thoughts on the Q&A

gravypod I think part of the concern is how much faster it would be to allow schema to finish the work on what needs to be finished at this point vs bringing others in to help finish. While the remaining work can be broken down, considering how much is left with many of the new features, it...

      What is this?

Could be just a normal member, domain names aren't too expensive and I think a few threads have shown a few people not really liking SE very much.

[Discussion] Tired of hearing "soon"? Thoughts on the Q&A

I think I agree with Azereiah here. I can recall some of the hard times trying to play Planetside 1 when they kept on moving people around. Resulted in tons of band-aids which caused many, many memory leaks since there was little documentation on how the source code worked and tools to modify...
