      Logic Cortex -Programmable Microprocessor (WIP)

I can't wait to see how you make this work with the new display systems. This computer using that system will be epic.

      binvox to sm3 blueprint (Released)

A release of some sort cannot come soon enough. I've got a small pile of ships I'd like to build, and this tool will be awesome for making that happen.

StarMade v0.199.214 Auxiliary Power, Better Graphics, Better Textures, and Bugfixes

*uncovers head and looks around the dock news thread* Is the fire out yet? Can people accept that this game is in Alpha and everything is subject to change? Can we stop focusing on the mechanics of the solution and worry about the currently somewhat awful placeholder texture? And finally, if...

Skylord Worlds: all my Projects,Stations,Skins and Procedural faction ships list

I'm wondering what it would take to make a 60km planet. But that's just me being nuts. This is awesome, and I can't wait to screw around with it! :)

      StarMade Ship Size Comparison Chart

Just to clarify, as I haven't had much time to look through and see if this has been established, what is the size range you want for ships? I'd love to shoot you some of the ships I'm working on, but I'm afraid they're too big.

FYI, the Exodus battleship you posted earlier today looks awesome. I'd love to download it, but the download link seems to be broken. When sharing a file on Dropbox, you need to create a share link, not just copy what's in the address bar.

      Smedit Crashes

I find that trying to get the obj import to work is a lost cause, and always ends up creating a dirty ship anyway. This guide is much better for importing stuff into SM from 3d models, however, it has some limitations. For anything outside the limits in that guide, I'd recommend binvox.

      Starmade Visualization

I'm going to leave this here. Have fun with nice textures and bump maps in both atlases and individual files. I used the program I mentioned earlier to generate these textures, as that's the only thing that still works. It's only missing LOD textures, as those are in a separate directory. Have fun!

      Starmade Visualization

I can't wait till the exporter has more options. The old 3rd party 3d exporter (I used UnknownProcess' SM2OBJ program before chunk32 broke it) had options for exporting alpha, emissive, specular, and texture all as separate files, and allowed you to export something without having to jump into...

SMEdit currently working for anyone? (Aug 2016)

I'd go with what timethatswasted is saying because he definitely seems to know what he's talking about. I have SMEdit installed in its own separate StarMade installation running version 0.19174#20150319_050107 and whatever version the latest version of SMEdit is. I always copy the blueprint to...

SMEdit currently working for anyone? (Aug 2016)

I've had no trouble with it, except it won't load chunk32 ships. However, I'm given to understand that I'm in the minority and that most people do not have a working copy of SMEdit. Past that, I can't really help with troubleshooting or resolving the issue without more information.

      Reverting to Chunk16

I was wondering if there are any tools or easy ways to revert from chunk32 to chunk16. I have a working copy of SMEdit that I use for work on various ships, and I'd like to be able to work on ships even after I've updated to chunk32.
    14. Xtremesonicboom

I made an OBJ exporter for blueprints. Now you can import your ships to any 3D modeling program.

When is this getting updated to handle chunk32? I know the recent model export thing that they added may make this seem obsolete, but I prefer this program's customizability and flexibility over the official one click solution. Plus, I don't have to load up the game and unnecessarily tax my...

      1:1 Elite Dangerous Sidewinder v2

Most pilots start their careers in the Sidewinder. It is a classic ship design that has been in use (in various configurations) since 2982. Its original design was a light support ship and it lacked jump capability. Modern compact drives have enabled jump-capable versions to be created, making...

      Kupu's thread

No, they're usually rectangles of around 18 pixels or less, and they don't line up with the texture on the block.

      Kupu's thread

Kupu, can you tell me anything about these weird artifacts that appear on blocks after I've been playing for a while? It's difficult to see in this gif, but it's much more noticeable ingame.

Temporary fix: a .sment file is a .zip file. Just extract the contents after changing it from blueprintname.sment to blueprintname.zip.
