Not sure that a standard would be needed so much as just limiting to predefined tags. Damascus isn't necessarily supposed to be official, so basing classification on it may be inappropriate. even then the only things concrete are size, cost and turret count. Purpose is still subjective.
I think...
I notice you spawn typically in the nearest, most open spot to the core. I made a hallway with a core "room" in my latest ship but would frequently spawn on the far side of the core from where intended until I filled in the area opposite the wall, which then caused me to spawn past the wall on...
I just don't see it. In the end both types of ship builders have a certain volume to work with, the details of that volume not mattering much. I don't build cubes (by my own definition, others may well say I do), but if I did the only difference between then and now would be the time spent on...
That's rather unfairly accusatory don't you think? It also puts a less than reasonable negative slant on competitive ship building. It almost sounds like I and many who build similarly are being called bullies for not having a fully fleshed out interior with heavy exterior detail and instead...
Random question that appears semi related and thus not worth making a new thread, I've been having issues testing large ships against each other. Then testing them individually against waves of isanths the function fine. If I spawn 1 as a trade guild ship and the other as a pirate to have them...
I hope not, unless another way of making weapons fire in different directions is added in it's place. I'd rather deal with computers facing different directions than not be able to control missile launch directions. New default seems to have some weapon computers backwards anyways.
Not sure, if I had to wager a guess I'd say server since i imagine that's where the calculations would be done. Hope it gets fixed soon so I cam use missiles with effects again without having to gut all my designs.
Put in a bug report on this since it's pretty consistently reproducable. Is there someone I should inform or is it just submitting that needs done? Bug #735.
Dimensional bonus power is capped at 1 million, so likely only the first instance of the configuration received full bonus at the numbers you posted with the bonus being exhausted early in the second (assuming some decent efficiencies). From that point on power would be added at a flat 25e/block.
Well, I think I figured out the nature of the issue I was having and it may have to do with bugged effects, which means with some caution I can continue putting missiles on all the things while awaiting confirmation. So in the meantime, new ship is up.
Ok, so I've become extremely lost on weapon effects. From massive modifications to the base damage stats of cannons for things like Punch through or explosive to effects massively changing the power requirements of missile groups despite the block behavior config having the value for changing...
Well, now that I have discovered the magic of tetras I was going to go back and smooth, maybe even color some things (lol not really, it's staying black because lazy), but feel rather demotivated as my first attempt at a capital was broken by whatever is up with missile power consumption...
I'm also experiencing all of the above issues. Missiles that fired properly prior do not work now. Also larger explosion radii cause the screen to freeze.
