Yeah...rogue gas giants would be pretty awesome, ESPEICALLY if the rings are done right. I'm tired of rings looking like this... ....and would MUCH prefer flying a ship through rings looking like this. And it's not just the HUGE abundance of asteroids that really make these kinds of rings...

Ah yes, the original "gas giants" thread from over 3 years ago.... How ancient this post is, and yet SO MANY PEOPLE (me included) have made their own Gas Giant suggestion post. Wonder how long it will take for the developers to read them and/or consider implementing gas giants?

WELL DAMN, SON! I had no idea these were in development! They should TOTALLY be implemented, and they should TOTALLY be roaming around in the atmospheres of Gas giants!

Hang on, sorry. 1-2 per GALAXY?!?! Are you serious! Gas giants are FAR more abundant than terrestrial planets, and for every 1 terrestrial planet we find outside our solar system, we find like 10 gas giants! If anything, GAS GIANTS should be the abundant planets! sorry that was kinda mean...

Yeah, but there should be an actually defined limit to how fast you can go, because if you go too fast you tend to glitch out and weird stuff happens. That limit could be as high as it wants, as long as it doesn't exceed light speed, which is about 300,000 km per second.

If Gas giants have been planned, nebulae may be made the same way as gas giants, and THAT would be interesting

Perhaps gas giants could be used for more than just beautiful cinematic shots. They could be rendered with "gaseous blocks" like regular planets, but the player cannot collide with the blocks and would instead pass straight through them. At the center of the gas giant could be a planetary core...

It would be AWESOME if planets could be impacted and damaged by asteroids, it would look like it was straight out of Armageddon XD

Honestly I am TOTALLY WITH YOU on the fact that seeing people floating in space without helmets is RIDICULOUS. I really wish that consequences of removing helmets in a vacuum was implemented!
