Ragnarok will host. First match is a team battle with set server ships. The outcome will determine the fate of an NPC faction in the lore. Other additional tournament matches are singles at 25k mass. Ships must at least be skinned, no cubes (unless very pretty)

What if I told you that while doomcubes make sense in the game, they make no sense in reality. ;) Edit: Besides, I've seen even matches and performance readouts by mass between aesthetic ships and cubes.

While MrFurbs suggestions are pretty standard and in general really effective. You might also consider taking employment with a faction, some might let you use a salvager of theirs and their mining bonus, not to mention their factories, for a cut of your haul. I know mine would ;)

Blockconfig would be my guess. I don't think so Starhaiden, I have expanded sector size and barely make it a sector or two when jumping. Then again, I have not done any actual testing.

You doing it wouldn't, but the system itself might. Very good point. I purge the faction list weekly for this very reason, it would be terrible to add to that workload. The next option is still viable, find a faction. Hmm. Really though, its practically impossible to encourage those one...
