I would think that a mini game of a Simon or bejeweled clone could be used to enhance the computer that is being "played." Trivial mindless game that adds .01% to the efficiency of the explosive computer or something. Then your little game of distraction is actually a benefit for the ship.

just an aside: was asked what the system specs for our little build server were Dell Precision T3500 Intel xeon W3670 24gb ram ubuntu. soon(tm) to be upgraded to ssd. SM has 20 gb allocated to it. and the server runs nothing else. The bottleneck on this server is its internet connection...

I'v been getting used to the larger 10 km sectors and then the 40 km sectors on the server i'm testing are amazing for ship battles.. no sector transitions loosing ships! more of a open space feel! also makes it harder to hide! but easier to not be seen!
