I feel like you are drifting into thinking that no one likes insta-copying. I am in favor of adding optional copy-protection feature to a faction block, but allowing insta-copying if you manage to destroy the (possibly well shielded and securely placed) faction block.

Copy-protection block might be okay. It would make designs less vulnerable of copying and modifications, but still could be worked around by destroying the block. Rpg-wise it would simulate efforts to patent/protect digital rights, but pirate modifications, cheap-ass shipyards etc. could still...

      StarMade Ship Size Comparison Chart

Tai Hao 100 should be big enough for this. Closed mode is smaller, but open mode would be bigger and maybe more interesting? Tai Hao 100 (Standard)

This conversation is getting needlessly personal and stingy. More listening, and constructive commenting pls. Trying to see the point here, I see there are arguments to support copy protection and good arguments against it. There must be a distinction between actual intellectual property and...

Tai Hao 50 Standard, the mid-sized child of the family. It's still fairly cheap (shield systems and jump drive are the biggest cost I think) and this one is really optimized for asteroid mining. That is, Tai Hao 50 will work best at asteroid salvaging. As the newest addition to Tai Hao series, model 50 should have at least around quadruple salvaging...
