Seems to work on any old "Red" damage (which includes EMP against a shielded target, some others as well), though I definitely haven't had 100% success rate with it.

Turrets using their own power won't be using the main ships power, which would absolutely take more blocks & weight than putting that power on the turret, because the turret hasnt yet been subject to soft caps (so it will require less reactors>blocks>weight). Self powered turrets are lighter...

well I can't say I promote it, just that what we have is a fookin joke, of which it's mechanics have become more 'unintended' exploit than intended function. This is not to say that they're actually just bad, it's that they're unsustainable and literally reward laggy design decisions above all...

there's some very real mechanical/practical reasons why real life ships need more hands to operate, we don't have those, for those we do, we have to weigh versus a very limited player base & the pilots ability to simply hotswap between pertinent cores

boosts should make sense, if there's an advantage to multiple players per ship it should be 100% due to multiple players adding an actual mechanical benefit, not simple stat-boost-per-player business. There's not currently a lot of reasons to put more than one player in a single ship vs having...
