when i was designing this I looked at the way the existing equipment items were designed and found that they mostly use flat surfaces. it makes sense seeing as how the game has a blocky aesthetic and also is a good way to make it easier for the game to render it.

just to let you guys know the grate blocks for some reason have a full blocks hit box. I cant even get close to it to use it as a handrail. also light bars have no hit boxes at all. Is this intentional?
