      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

Incorrect. Let's be clear about something. I came here looking for answers to a config-based problem. I worked with Forsyth on the problem because I never got a straight answer to what was going on. Captain Fortius popped in and spoke his peace. He and Tsnonak chiming in and the rest of us...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

This has been alluded to repeatedly. "someone may have made some changes..." or something to that effect. And yet there is never any mention of what these changes are, what build version they go with or where I can read up on them. You and I discussed this back in January. Did you ever...

Rail guns? How primitive. That's so late 21st century... If we're being totally honest, in a universe where you can manipulate gravity and travel faster than light, cannon recoil does seem kind of silly. ...like "plot device" level silly. In any case, I am content with the current recoil...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

You both make good points. Regarding removal of stabilizers entirely: I support this because despite my ability to learn to work within the confines of stabilizer distance, I recognize that not everyone else can. And if we aren't going to require distance between stabilizers, then they...

      My Semi Annual yawn.

That's not something I throw around lightly and while I'm not OCD enough to go and record every single instance of this that I notice, there are quite a few examples of players citing poor balance and biased/arbitrary decision making by QF. If you want data on that, then you'll need to go...

No. A small subset of the StarMade community is NOT the actual StarMade Community. Also, they have consistently demonstrated that they are not balancing anything but rather building the game their clique wants. As such; singling me out for pointing this out does not invalidate all the...

      My Semi Annual yawn.

The point of the thread is clear. If you don't see the relevance in what I said, then that is your limitation; hence why you cherry pick. Therein lies the point of what I said. If you post critical info in an easy to find, centralized location, it will be seen, if you don't, it won't be...

      My Semi Annual yawn.

Read it again. No cherry picking this time... "...and it's rapidly approaching half a year since any annoucement from Schine seems eerily fitting. Hence; "radio silence". Not hearing anything since late january is pretty relevant. Especially since multiple QF configs have come out since...

      My Semi Annual yawn.

I said exactly what I meant and the fact that this thread is called "semiannual yawn" and it's rapidly approaching half a year since any annoucement from Schine seems eerily fitting. Hence; "radio silence". The sever list closing is quite literally the only concrete info I've gotten about this...

      My Semi Annual yawn.

I'm giving a like not because of the news itself but because we actually received some honest/accurate news for once in over 4 months. With that said, this is some very unfortunate news. Between the low player count, Schine's radio silence and Quickfire's apparent loss of interest, we could...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

I don't think the Dev build is the issue. I'm using 202-87 just like you are and whatever they put in the new configs apparently doesn't play well with release or dev. builds of the game. I appreciate your help but based on the rather disinterested responses we've seen here and the rather...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

Did you add the QF configs after the install or is the proper version 202-87 without any added configs? Plain 202-87 is largely the same as January's release but there have been new Dev builds and QF config changes since then.

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

The most frustating thing about this is that there does not appear to be any current documentation available on this topic; neither here nor on Quickfire's Discord. January was over 4 months ago and there are a LOT of changes between the version from back then to the current one. Can...

Good to see you back at it. 😎(y) Seeing players building again fuels my inspiration and gives me hope for this game.

Be sure to copy your existing game to a new folder in case something goes wrong.

Agreed. Unfortunately, without additional testing/input from other players, we have no way knowing if these are intended changes or a bug. I have reinstalled ver. 202.87 several times. Using it without QF is no different than the build I was using in late January. Using it with QF...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your input. I'm at a loss as to what is causing this issue. I'll try another fresh install of 202-87 and see what happens.

Did you notice a cutoff where you can't get additional power without stabilizers? ...or is it just the original 10 free blocks?

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

Discrepancies? Can you expand on that a bit? Sorry, that's a mistype. 400-499 does require 40. My I ask what ship size you're using? I've tried everything from the original 10 reactor blocks up to a ship with over 4000 reactor blocks. Deleting the stabilizers yielded the same power...
