      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

Welcome back, Here is my recommendation as per what I've learned from the team: 1) Create a separate clean install. ...or simply back up your existing install(s) to another location or under a different name. 2) Download and install the latest dev. build. The newest one is ver. 202.16. 3)...

Feedback/question: Is there anything in the configuration settings that can make AI turrets/fighters use the full firing rate of their weapons? ...or is that a hard-coded limitation of the AI? The reason I ask is because in the case of cannons, I've noticed that they appear to fire all...

      Docking Problems

Two possibilities... 1) You are using a button or activation module with your docking point slaved to it to trigger a launch directly. That can cause the drone to undock immediately and ignore any launch path you've set. Instead, try using logic to change the direction of rails to guide...

I just got finished my tests. This is what I've noticed. - AI has a delayed reaction time before it actually aims and fires. This also happens with my beam fighters. - AI will not use the full firing rate of any stock or CC cannons. - If your weapon has multiple outputs, the AI will not use...

Yeah that was it. For some reason, accuracy was reset to 200. 😡 3500 is ineffective vs missiles since the gun fires before the missile enters its (accurate) range. I'm testing at 5000 so we'll see how that goes.

That's more than reasonable. In fact, that's the same percentage I would have used. I wonder if the turrets are simply missing the missiles? Is there a specific AI accuracy you recommend? The QF config automatically reset accuracy to 1000; though I've bumped it up on my system to 3500.

So I made a new fighter variant by bolting a set of engines and a cockpit to a 232 e/sec. reactor and then strapping a BFG onto the bottom of it. I'm going to stop upgrading this thing because... 1) It has a single output 21K damage medium range missile that it fires continuously every 4...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

You guys do good work but don't break your back over this. Anything that ties a new Git update to its corresponding dev. build would be perfect. Whatever means you use to do this should not only be easily found by players but also easy to deal with for your team. Whatever avenue you...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

Gotcha. I've been lurking on Discord but to be fair; there is a LOT of chat going on in there about a wide range of topics. It's ofen literally miss and hour; miss a lot. However, there may be an easy way to address updates without making it a pain for you guys. Have you thought about...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

Thank you for the fast response. Not yet. I'm on dev. build 202.11 as of 2 weeks ago and I've been adding the updated configs manually. I'll try updating tomorrow when I get back from work. Is there a specific dev. build requirement for each set of configs or a specific process/sequence in...

Soooo... I just applied the latest config... The following error appears when you try to load a ship with missiles. I believe I've traced the missing info for this error to the following file. StarMade\data\config\blockBehaviorConfig.xml. Searching for blastradius within the xml file...

Regarding thrust: I there any way to increase the effectiveness of stopping/braking? As it stands now, it takes a lot longer to stop than to accelerate unless you do a full reverse thrust from the firection your traveling. This can sometimes, be problematic if you are traveling along...

Yes! YES! In time, ALL will convert and embrace the Schiney Sphere!!! 😈 Back on topic: As a result of your influence/inspiration, I too have upgraded my fighters a bit. As always; aesthetics and size are my key goals. The SF-37 refit has about 11,000 power regen and 8,000 shields...

      Dyson Sphere Project

While intriguing, using an actual star serves no purpose but to endanger your own forces. However, you can always "make" a star inside the sphere using blocks.

      Dyson Sphere Project

If you're interested, I've put together a "brief" instruction set on artificial planet building on my shipyard thread. I find the methods speed up construction substantially and are highly usable with Dyson Spheres. You're welcome to stop by if you think some of it may be of use to you.
