      To my understanding, the plan is to tie sensor detection to the tiering sizes used for chambers, both in detection and sensing. They just haven't yet made it so ships at a lower tier size are inherently harder to detect etc.

      I've heard reports of regular beam ignoring shields (and seen it in the dev builds) across sectors, not sure if that was fixed. Sector boundaries are always glitchy in this game.

      Tested with one of my weapons testbeds in 0.201.130 and it's working fine for me, punching large holes in a test target at point blank range, the holes following where I aimed.

      Collision damage is a thing. It's a little oversensitive, but it's on by default now. Also, any kind of survival resources would be preferable to the current random pirate attacks, as it would create a pressing need for some sort of anchoring to shelter with a bit less frustration/lockout...

      Small problem for me: SMEdit simply doesn't start after clicking its start button. No idea why, must be some kind of immediate fatal error. Happens on both my desktop (Fedora Linux) and laptop (Ubuntu Linux) and on a friend's computer(Windows...7 I think).

      I find even 100m long can be "big" when you've got both a lot of interiors and exterior detail to work with. This game has a great build mode and all, but trying to create curvature with the 1/4 step system and making hallways and stairs work to existing plans is a bit of a nightmare sometimes.

      Unfocused fire has never been useful in my experience. It really should just go. Volley fire is nice, cannon-cannon is just a tad weak.
