      Thoughts of a returning player

Well, even I have to say, MOST of these complaints are kinda wrong, however I do strongly agree with three: - Integrity. Bad decision. Makes brick ships with brick systems healthier than ever, makes anything pretty more fragile than ever. Delete, remove, no loss. - Limited shield coverage...

StarMade Dev Blog - The Weapons Update

Hoooookay......... You know about inertial dampeners? The very same inertial dampeners starmade ships use since forever to kill momentum? Yyeah. That's why gun recoil shouldn't move the ship. As for messing with your aim, it doesn't need to do any complicated and unnecessary calculations on...

Is anyone else getting Looney Tunes flashbacks?

StarMade Dev Blog - The Weapons Update

They say that the wheel was invented multiple times, independently of each other, but a lot of these changes to cannons and armor behaviour - such as penetration, barrel width, or dynamic armor thickness- is very similar to what a handful of good people and I suggested over four years ago. My...

      PROJECT: PATRIARCH (Poll)

My point exactly; Soooo damn similar. Like, "What's the point" level of similar. Quoting the entire post straight ahead of you is quite unnecessary though. I'd know it's a reply either way.

      PROJECT: PATRIARCH (Poll)

Is no one going to say this? Fine, I will. It's a Star Destroyer. Just like any star destroyer from any Star Wars movie. What design and vision are we talking about here? I would either commit to a true and accurate replica or heavily alter the plans.

      Make Salvaging Consistent

The problem with this, is that I've seen many players who don't salvage defeated opponents. Even I, or probably You too left some either because they drifted so far we lost track of them, or were in a hurry to get somewhere, or just felt like we don't need those materials today. The galaxy...

      What is Wrong with Starmade

Damn! I was sleepy! I totally meant repair beams - or Astrotech on their official name. Why'd salvage repair anything... Sorry. Fixing now.

      Shield Improvements For Power 2.0

The solution is dead simple. Area based shields were a mistake, and should be corrected by rolling back to the previous, global shielding.

      What is Wrong with Starmade

I've been thinking about that for a while, and realized that most spaceship games I played had in fact the very same mechanic; Shields either don't regenerate under fire, or take some time to kick in. The glaring difference is, those games also had a reliable , fuss-free way of fixing your hull...

Reintroduce Jump Drives, or, Built-in Jump is Still Wierd.

Sheltered much? Or trying to abuse said rules much? I especially wrote that whole post with a child-friendly tone in mind. The rest is the same bunch of lies as before. It'd be a waste of time to tell you the same stuff again.

Reintroduce Jump Drives, or, Built-in Jump is Still Wierd.

Being difficult, I see. The issue is not a few logic ticks, it's loading a new sector every few seconds. Which most people have realized by themselves, or at least understood after the first time it was explained. ( It was explained in this topic as well. ) But I get it. Reading is hard, eh...

      v0.200.334 Bonus Stabilization Mechanics

No. I built the simplest example possible. 90 degrees. One big brick for the reactor, one big brick of stabilizers of exactly the same dimension directly above, below, left and right. Doesn't get any 90'er or simpler than that.

Reintroduce Jump Drives, or, Built-in Jump is Still Wierd.

This multi-reactor system is so wrong. That's never how it works! Spaceships sometimes have multiple reactors, but that's because of redundancy and safety! ( One big reactor means one big boom if it's ever ruptured, while if you have several smaller ones, a few can be lost without crippling...

At this point, will the devs listen to the playerbase even?

This. The sole reason I play THIS space minecraft game and not one of the many others is this one gave me the greatest amount of creative freedom. SE is nice, has big planets, but three-meter sized ship blocks and prefabricated components are a nightmare for the creative spirit. Also, stuff...

      v0.200.334 Bonus Stabilization Mechanics

This system is getting more and more convoluted and unnecessary. I checked the latest patch out, put stabilizers on four different sides of the reactor, and the info panel still said I'm only using one side. Can we just please delete this whole stabilizer mechanic?

Reintroduce Jump Drives, or, Built-in Jump is Still Wierd.

Not that this hasn't been explained in the previous posts, but how is putting undue strain on the server and teleporting to anywhere near-instantenously is NOT a problem and an exploit? A certain time factor must be involved in travel, otherwise the system is open for abuse; eliminating...

At this point, will the devs listen to the playerbase even?

Until either child protective services and/or the police take the kid away and send the little fellow to a foster home or juvie if he was raised especially well.

Reintroduce Jump Drives, or, Built-in Jump is Still Wierd.

See, I wouldn't mind multiple jump drives either if they really were big, and truly a sacrifice in that ship's capacity for other stuff. Except their several jump drives were each but a few blocks in size and logic triggering did the rest. Even the concept was interesting. Why not have two or...

      Logic + Salvage beams

Interesting. The simpler the solution, the better. I tried as you said, to see if it's just a lack of a target that causes the problem. This is with the clock detached, SVG activated by a single signal, once: And this is with the fast clock turned back on: Still, it was worth a try...
