They are placeable in capsule form which is basically the same as plain shard/ore form but in a container. Also just placing them as those items would make for some strange models that would require as much or more work to make than the pipe model unless 2d texture crosses were used which...
Best idea for the power system! I hope the devs do this. Instead of getting rid of all the heat why not use it? The conduits could take excess heat out of the reactor, pump it into turbines which generate extra energy from it, and then the rest of the excess heat is pumped into a radiator setup...
Huh, buttons are weirder than I thought and I don't know exactly how the prototype logic works. Also it's a bit outdated (not a pun). The only other way I can think of that allows auto-rapid fire without using canon-canon slave is using rails with rail speed controller(s) and have a docked thing...
I know what those do but how is an OR an on/off? It won't cut off the signal ending the clock unless some kind of bug is used because it is passive and doesn't act as a relay switch.
Hmm... I'll have to dissect the prototype. The rotation works and the counter seems to. I just don't know why it won't fire. Once I've done that I should have a solution (unless the wifi blocks really are broken in this current release or something is messed up in the gun).
Sachys An OR gate at...
Try replacing the activation modules with buttons and connect them in a chain. Put an AND gate at the start and connect the end to the AND. Connect the clock in my last post to the AND as well and connect each button to each master computer. That should give the desired effect. I'll mess with...
Sorry about the wall of text but...
Place down two cannon computers. Place down twenty cannon barrels. Link ten barrels to each computer and slave a computer to the other (the one that will shoot). Place logic components in this order: NOT gate, delay signal, AND gate. Connect the NOT to the...
I don't think the limit should be removed. Like the others said, it would cause performance issues on servers and possibly on single player worlds too, depending on available resources. I would like to go faster though. Perhaps a setting somewhere to raise or lower the limit would be a good idea...
Because why not. :davetongue:
Also things like binary and trinary (maybe not, the text editor doesn't like to spell it) star systems would be cool although that would make it a little easier to get certain resources or (jk) melted ships.
Or maybe a few function system blocks and intact reactor chambers. That could be a way to obtain them (exploration as a means to get them is a planned feature iirc) as well as the obvious loot in the cargo.
I think he was talking about the game using a blueprint, removing ship systems, and rendering the remaining shell on an asteroid or planet as a derelict.
That thing about black hole and harvesting rare resources is interesting. What if stars could be destroyed giving a real purpose to planet busters and, once destroyed, a star leaves a bunch of rare material which could be harvested? Also each star type would leave a different resource type...
During one of my first single player survival games I built what I thought was a big and powerful ship. When I tested it out on a station all that was left was the core and little bits of hull. It took the pirates half a second to obliterate my ship.
At least there won't be anymore spaghetti monsters. What will happen with the jump drive system? Reactor chambers seem to make those possible antiques like the old reactors.
