When there wasn't any bug it was 1 module per 10 mass.
That changed due to a bug to 1 module per 100 mass.
Now due the the fix it is 1 module per 1 mass.
It isn't the second, the last is the opposite extreme of the first, so it should be the second value (at least that's what I think).
If I'm not mistaken the power usage is 600 e/s per module. This means that currently a 300 mass ship with 1.2 million energy regen can have a maximum of 3 effects active while still be able to move.

No it isn't - try making a ship with every effect and still have decent weapons, shields and thrust. You simply can't do it. It would cause a lot of trouble while building, because the mass would keep changing while you add the modules.

This always could already be done, the custom configs just made it easier (which you already knew). There are, however, a few problems with it, and some things still need to be added and improved. I made a thread about it...

@Fishbreath , I finished the config. The custom config doesn't support custom recipes for some reason, so I had to do it the old fashioned way. Put the file in the zip in /starmade/data/config/ and you'll have 10x capsules, metal mesh and crystal circuits.

I believe that it is the intention that we will be able to craft them some time. I do, however, feel that the power supply beam needs to be in the suit by default, but the repair beam shouldn't - it just is too powerful for standard gear.
That's what we have the stop effect for now. We do need some sort of landing block that will withstand collisions of up to 2 m/s. Above that it will just decrease the impact, until it gets a speed of over 4 m/s where it just causes normal damage.

We really need a proper 3rd person view to fly in, one in which we can change the camera view by holding down a button to have a view that won't jump back to its original position.
