One thing that'd fix pulse for the AI is to make the AI come at least 50% closer than it does before firing since at the moment only the front edge of the blast is hitting anything.

Nice idea to change up pulse. Another thing that'd help is more of an AI issue and that's the AI normally won't come any closer than 40m to 50m or so. Maybe cut that down by half and that'd get the meat of the pulse blast right in the face of some ships while still keeping them out of collision...
lol the main bases in each of the systems of a NPC Faction need to be shielded until you cause enough damage to the other things in the system, as for the HB it needs to be shielded until a certain % of the owned outposts are down.
There's a ton of ways to expand faction systems and such. Adding a Merge Faction Button would help for those that don't feel like having to leave the faction they are in to enter another. Good for times when you want to merge factions without all the hard work of separating from it and also...
Oh might want to change the key for getting into and out of build and flight modes to some other key because it conflicts with the left roll key. :)
As for the low FPS thing go into graphics options to set everything that you don't want as low as it can go. Especially if you have less than 8gb...
Speaking of any new updates because the dev server in half dead the last time I tried to connect and the dev build itself is riddled with more bugs than the local roach motel. >.>
hmm strange I haven't noticed any of the new default factions spawn but I have seen the generated ones spawn. Trading Guild doesn't have any territory, neither do the pirates or the outcasts, but I have seen a lot of generated factions using those blueprints though.
Sometimes they don't spawn right away, also it seems the starting number is crazy low around 0 to 3 but increases by a couple after a while but I had to jump to other galaxies to cause them to spawn.
Also noticed they aren't trading with each other and can't be traded with due to no shop blocks.
