I do not see stuff as ships.
I see what people call ships as groups of things docked to each other for making the game lag when undocking happens.
People should use drones instead of making super gigantic ships with docked stuff.(cause approximately as much lag but it is much more efficient and...
I love the style because it is unique.
I mean you rarely see spaghetti ships out of starmade.(I guess it exists but I do not see them)
Also it makes me think to scaffolds around houses that are being built.
Horrific is relative and personally I do like spaghetti ship's looks.
Well I did heard about the spaghetti ship meta.
I would like to see screenshots of the spaghetti ships that works best in pvp.
I mean I like spaghetti ships looks: it is more or less unique.
I want to see how missile pulse will work once the power update happens.
I guess missile pulse and missile beam will be a lot better now that they will have power storage.
Once you built a ship you can go into a star and restart building ships.
You can also declare war with a faction and decide to do a meeting at a given place and bring ships to fight one player and look at the resulting missile circus(thereby resulting in the destruction of some of your ships)...
I think it is rather cool that miner ships will need less module spam for a given result.
It caused lots of graphical calculations when I had tons of connected salvage modules in build mode.
Now I basically can build a ship that mine 5 times more
Asteroid rock capsules have 50hp and 0.01 mass while scaffold have 75 hp for 0.01 mass.
So they have 1.5 times more hp.
Advanced armor without effects have 1400 hp((250 + 100 armor hp)*4 due to reduction) and weight 0.25
So without mods capsules have for 1250 per 0.25 advanced have 1400 per 0.25...
But the problem is that mining trash usually have transparency and complicate light calculations.
I wish capsules could be turned into blocks with the same stats.(that would be a solution for filler blocks)
Ps: Fleetmining is very hard to use so you should read tutorials and do a lot of trial and error and read all the info you can about fleetmining if you want to use it.
You might on the other hand just use firepower spaghetti monster fleets to kill gigantic ships at a low cost.(fleet fighting...
Is capsule stacking meta in armoring?
If I remember well it allows to stack tons of protection in a very small volume trough dockstacking of ships(basically you dock 100 capsule armor ships and then you place capsule within each block of your ship and out of the ship thus basically making each...
You can stack multiple layers of capsules in the same space(thanks to docked entities and being far from ship core and fielding blueprints and entering and editing the docked entity).
And place them into the system blocks(in fact you can place them nearly everywhere).
You can use spaced capsule...
Advanced armor without supports(even if you include the armor hp mechanic) is inferior in total damage tanked per mass(tanks 56 damage per 0.01 masss) when compared to scaffold(and barely better than capsules).
That gets even worse if someone use punch-through or pierce against armor(against...
Actually blueprint mass is 0.10 times the number of blocs(that have been a weird revelation when I found it).
So if you make a ship which is just a brick of 1000 advanced armor its mass would be 250 and the indicated mass on the blueprint would be 100 and if you make a brick of 1000 scaffold its...
"One thing I have noticed is the thing doesn't have a faction block. All stations, ships, and planet parts should require a faction block to have a faction."
I made ships with faction without faction block by using blueprints.
If a player can do that with blueprints why would npc factions be...
Is 4 500 000 dps sufficient on a 500k ship?
I have no idea which kind of stats a 500k ship(in the servers in which I go) should have since most people who share 500k ship blueprints just make an awesome looking hull then place a huge cube of regular powergen and then put a huge cube of power...
Ideally if you want to do PVP go on a server where the loss of a ship is minimal(so that nobody gets scared of losing ships) so servers where there is a maximum ship size and a huge mining multiplier.(and blueprints)
Because if someone who lose a ship can rebuild it in 2 minutes of hitting an...
