Ahura Mazda, 750+ meter flagship WIP

I see that initial wing shape, and immediately part of my mind screams "B-2 Spirit!" as in the stealth bomber. Meanwhile, the rest of my mind is going "YAY, a wide ship, instead of a tall or long ship." Those are surprisingly rare. (the good-looking ones anyway)

      Warship Design Philosophy (RP Perspective)

The current Dev build seems to be about just that, it's certainly got NPC fleets running around.

shipyard dock to center of dimensions.

[ I see where you're going, and have a somewhat simple solution. Both of these "checks" are run, and either can trigger it. (obviously, not both at the same time, that'd flippin stoopid.) Only run the adjustment on docking. Only run the adjustment when a new block would exceed the physical...

shipyard dock to center of dimensions.

I dunno about the programming, that's nearly allways a tricky endeavor. (if nothing else, new stuff tends to introduce new bugs) I do, however, agree that having more than one anchor per computer would be quite usefull. I currently have a Shipyard, that contains 3 different "shipyards" within...

      What can docked entities do?

Panpiper I think it is instantaneous*. I remember building several turrets that would drain the barrel and the base trying to fire, and once installed on a ship would fire without issue. * assuming, naturally, that server lag isn't being a horrific pain-in-the-butt.

      Scypio's shipyard

I have the distinct feeling, that that ship is gonna be a roight propa beauty once it is "mostly" plated.

      Crash impossible to resolve

So, the problem is looking like Starmade is somehow not compatible with the version of Windows 10 that you have. A direct (Google provided) translation of that error is "This version of% 1 is not compatible with the Windows version currently running. Check in the system information of your...

How long do pirate attacks last (if they even go away)?

On most of the better servers, this type of maintenance happens roughly hourly, so logging out tends to have the same end-user effect of "the pirates fucked off", even though it is mechanically a very different thing.

How long do pirate attacks last (if they even go away)?

And that's all well and good for multiplayer, but it helps not one bit for Singleplayer, which is where he's having the problem. Wow, ninja'd by Batavium, literally the second before I can hit the "post reply" button. He must've been writing that one for a bit.

      Invisible Shipyard Modules

Oh my, that sounds absolutely fantastic. Two thumbs waaaaaaaaaay up! Probably a stone-cold bitch-'n-a-half to code though.

      Cantaloupe

Shouldn't need "wireless" logic, simply setting the module and the parent to "inherit thrust" (in the thrust menu no less) allows you to use the extra thrust granted by the module. (but, and here's the shitty part, NOT any of the extra power regen/capacity in said module) EDIT: Damn you forum...

Recognized by Council Give Tab+F8 Official Documentation/Support as Admin/Creative tool.

Security though obscurity, doesn't last! (though it does sometimes last just long enough, most such cases haven't been in alpha for 4 years) Some clever asshole will inevitably figure out one (or more!) of the commands, and will use them to fuck-up a server. (oh, and by stating how many buttons...

single axis turret that does aim (handy for guided missiles)

Hmm, did that change in any of the last half a year's patches? because, last time I looked at it (about half a year ago), weapon ranges were hard-coded as a percentage of sector size. Meaning servers with big sector sizes didn't have a choice about how long-ranged their weapons wound up being...

The Apparent Cancer That Is Docked Hull

Okay, let's try it this way. Without discussing weapons, the only possible solution to docked hull, is to delete from the game any method by which said hull could otherwise be docked to a mass of systems. There. That solves the ENTIRE problem of docked hull, without talking about the true...

Why do jump modules increase recharge instead of range?

What little I "understood" about Hyperdrives was that they are effectively Warpgate-ranged jump-drives, and can only be placed upon the yet-to-be-introduced "capitol ship" class of ship, and could even then only be used when the "capitol ship" was in some sort of lockdown, such that it could not...

The Apparent Cancer That Is Docked Hull

Please, if you have it, I would like to see the After Action Report, of even a lowly DD being sunk (not crippled, SUNK) by the machine-guns on a "fighter" (I mean Machine-guns, 7.62mm or smaller bullets, NOT the 20/30/40mm anti-shipping cannons that some fighters [and many bombers] did actually...

Rail turret axis - transfer to items

Thank you! ... reading through that, gives me the distinct impression that it is working exactly as the shifty-eyed cat himself has intended. Mostly the bit where after posting it, Andir changed it from "bug" to "feature", which normally means that the devs are aware of the playerbase thinking...

      Invisible Shipyard Modules

Ah, I know exactly what that means. It means the "shipyard" portions of the shipyard, (design, construct, de-construct, re-construct, de-construct_to_make_a_design_of) won't work, because the fat/long/tall bastard you "docked" to the anchor point has some part of it sticking outside of the...

      Docked Space Station Parts

Quite a few, actually. Some are not available for download off the 'dock, and some are closer to "art project" than "functional space-station", but they certainly exist/have existed That specific design? Dunno. It is probable that it has been done allready, if only because of how many people...

single axis turret that does aim (handy for guided missiles)

Correct. the biggest thing here, is the AI allways (so long as you used a turret dock) gets the full 40~ish degree off-axis "shot cone" that a player' ship gets. And then it gets that +/- 15 degrees extra deviation. so it can, and sometimes has, fired a shot a full 65-85 degrees off-axis...
