These steps did not fix the issue for me either :/ until we find a fix, I'll just use my work-owned laptop (the MacBook Pro) to play even though my personal laptop (the Lenovo) is WAAAAY more suited for gaming.

He listed "server.cfg" and "setup.cfg" as if he were referring to two files.

I'll try that, then report back. It'll take me a minute till I can actually try it as I'm needing to move some files around, but I don't see a "setup.cfg" file. Do you mean "settings.cfg"?

Thanks, but I am already using default. As I stated before, the MacBook Pro doesn't even have the realistic option, and if I were to use it on the Lenovo, all the textures are wrong, so I'm using default. This does not fix the main issue of this thread though: there is no orientation preview.

That's possible. The install on the MacBook Pro was from the website, not steam, so that might be why it's working correctly. I'll try that then report back. Unfortunatly, even that measure didn't seem to alleviate the issue... It did remove the "realistic" option from the textures dropdown...

Yes; I removed the previous one and ran the launcher to create a fresh install. Issue persisted. I am currently updating the installation I have on a separate computer to see if the issue occurs there as well (the current computer is a Lenovo running Windows, the other is a MacBook Pro running...

Do we know if these issues have been fixed? I just got back to playing recently after taking a break for school and returned to work on a large ship in single player. I keep having chunks disappear like this as well.

Is this issue still not fixed? I am having the same issue, trying to report a separate issue I'm having -_-;
