Built at a roughly 1:1 scale, this replica ship is designed primarily for RP purposes, though it does come with a provided Bobby AI in the astromech socket and functioning cannon-cannon weapons.. This would be a great addition to any Star Wars themed fleet, and would look great in the hangar of...

Anyone familiar with the ship blueprint template files and PFP (Python File Parser)?

(I hope I put this in the correct section! XD ) I don't want to reveal what specifically I'm working on atm, but at this stage, it's not gotten to anything that will be specific to my program. My issue arises when trying to use PFP to parse the binary files with the blueprint template files...

      ship porn

I guess we'll have to see if they reply to know, but to me that looks more like a grid than an actual floor plan O-o I could be wrong, though.

Well, if you're intending this for WIP ships, as the text makes it sound, here's what I've been working on. A small support frigate that will carry 10 drones, yet to be named.

Port Vandermier - progressive shipyard build

I know I've probably raved to you about how this is going earlier in this thread, but I must do it again. I absolutely love how this station is coming out and how it looks! It's really making me want to try building my own first shipyard, though it'll likely be far less ambitious and awesome XD

yoyo industries Tradepost Alpha - progressive tradepost build

Late reply, I know, but good progress so far! I think that, maybe instead of those brighter colors, maybe brown piping (you could maybe keep the red, though), and other subdued colors might work better? Idk, that's really up to taste XD

Man, just wish that preview pic was bigger! XD Looking great, though!

Port Vandermier - progressive shipyard build

Definitely! Whenever I have routing to do, I generally use activation blocks instead of buttons (as they'll still blink on and off if buttons are sending the original signal, whereas chained buttons will alter the behavior if an activation block originates the signal), but otherwise quite similar.

      Titles on Camera Transition

Something I just thought of that would be neat is if cameras, assuming they worked similar to display blocks in how the text is added, maintained the logic features of display blocks such that you could have a HUD that's actively being updated by a logic circuit. This could be used to indicate...

      Titles on Camera Transition

I'd guess they could easily give a prompt similar to a display block on the camera when pressing "R", and it displays in-camera what would be shown on the display block (if it were a display instead of camera).

Port Vandermier - progressive shipyard build

I know personally I've considered turning it off before, but I decided to leave it on, as seeing the lines makes it easier to more quickly judge what's connected to what. These lines /can/ even be used as part of the aesthetics of the ship, though I personally haven't done this before. I haven't...

      Titles on Camera Transition

Eh, it can be closer than that, but my main point was that the block itself doesn't have to be in view for overhanging text to be visible. As stated before a couple times though, this doesn't work on smaller ships, due to lack of space, and thus the aforementioned idea is a good one.

      Titles on Camera Transition

I didn't mean to have the display block itself in view. You can have text that extends past the right edge of the display, and this feature is what I was reffering to

      Titles on Camera Transition

Which is why I was saying your idea would still be useful on smaller vessels that don't have the space to do this :D

Port Vandermier - progressive shipyard build

Hey, how did you get those lights slightly angled? Did you use a turret axis instead of a rotation block?

      Titles on Camera Transition

On smaller ships with less space this might be useful, but on larger ships you can usually place a display block off to the left of the camera, and have the text overextend the screen so that it's visible in front of the camera. The text won't fade out like you're suggesting, but I've seen this...
