No no, it is certainly highlighting a group of systems. Any one grouping of systems by default, or there's a way to switch to all blocks of a type as well.

I'm all for ditching this really. It seems like it would balance the game tremendously. I have, however, voted opposite of this to counteract Aceface voting the wrong way. :P

It's controlled by the numpad. I forget exactly what the controls are, but this was apparently added for testing purposes quite some time ago. I think numpad 1, 2 and 3 have something to do with it, as well as maybe six? Calbiri or Schema could tell you I think.

All the +1 to this thread. All of it. It sounds amazing, until we realize all it means is that people will be building 2km ships and doing the same crap they always do now. Regardless, bring ooooon the update!

That's unsurprising. d1000's are faster in multiples, and are infinitely more useful.

The big thing is that unless you're doing things that are newsworthy to the faction-oriented part of the community, there won't be any news to cover. :P

Yep. Just make sure to nab info from all sides, take no sides, and any claims that can't be verified should be direct quotes from whoever says them. That'll keep everybody off your back. :) (Having taken more journalism class than I'd have ever liked...yeah. Just trust me.)

Actually, you should generally be gathering facts from all parties involved before writing a story, quoting any information that can't be proven directly, and just giving the information, if you want to be an unbiased news reporting group.

There is an official naming contest going on for new crystals and ores. I'm assuming this means there are new crystals to name.
