There was an incident of stray shots causing a war declaration. The alliance was made to prevent such accidents, and to prevent new warhungry members of both factions from starting a war that would do more damage than it would be fun.

UAF? what was that? i wasn't really around much earlier this year so idk what went on with those faction agreements.
Edit: so the people in thryn were kind enough to informed me of the UAF being pretty darn shitty. so no. UEF is not supposed to be a replacement for UAF.
