i could swap out the music but then i would probably have to make it again. i went looking for royalty free music to use but couldn't find one that i liked (most of them really wouldn't have fitted it anyways). besides i didn't know what restrictions you had on you so i made this knowing that it could never be used as an actual trailer for the game. I would love for it to be but copyrights can be extremely complicated. Two Steps From Hell from what i heard is not super picky about who uses their music but i wasn't going to take a chance. so i pasted "Unofficial" all over the video.

Just think of this as inspiration for future videos. (as well as unofficial, off the books, free advertising)

if schema wants id be willing to make a completely new trailer for the game.

• The music is far more exciting, it doesn't leech onto the same motif repeating over and over again in hopes that it will sound menacing/epic. It actually had a melodic line. (you didn't make it of course, but great choice of soundtrack)

• The fast camerawork matched the exciting music.

• You actually bothered to credit the artist!

• 30 seconds in and I've seen more Starmade content than in that entire last trailer.

• You actually showed off said content, zooming in instead of showing if from a distance.

• Did not show any boring gui's that are going to be replaced anyways.

• Creative use of the "of something" text.

• The effect (camera flicker, scanlines, and the effects over the text) were subtle and did not distract from the video. In fact, they contributed.

• When the battle started, you changed from fades to jump-cuts. Nice subtle change. I did not mind the fades in the rest of the video because of the style you were going for.

• Camera was fluid, because you weren't filming from an astronaut pov.

• Actually showed off different planets.

• Showed off the awesome contest stations. (and the pirate ones when appropriate)

• Still included a neat asteroid mining shot, but you did not drag it out.

• Obligatory sitting scene fit in nicely and wasn't drawn out - captain sitting on the bridge!

• Battle scene was exciting.

• Showed off a wormhole.

• I don't have to sit through an advertisement to watch your trailer.
