I haven't played StarMade for quite a while now and therefore I suppose lost track of how to line up shield disperser, power reactor etc. the most efficient way (in terms of patches).
Since I started a new project the last couple of days it would be nice to know how to do build those ship systems right so that my ship won't be just good looks but also dishes out well. I'm still at figuring out the fuselage but I think it looks neat so far.

I'm really looking forward for any infos you guys can deliver since the wiki was no help for me. Since I'm nearly finished with the fuselage I would like to start with the internals soon or at least start planning as i wanted to assign special rooms to step it up a notch in terms of details.

So please help me out guys...

Of course I will provide you with the current condition of my build. By the way I'm curious about what you guys think so if you have any suggestions then go for it.

    (sorry. don't have better ones)

The "city" layout still bothers me. But I'm trying to work it out as fast as I can...still raw intil now.

Power re-chargers can be placed in long lines in a checkerboard patter for efficient power generation for large ships, but, after 1 million recharge, you can place it however you want.
Power tanks, Shield re-chargers and capacitors can be placed however you want. There is no "Efficient way" to place them.

(By "however you want", I mean 10x10x10 blocks :p)

So basically shields capacitors, shield re-chargers, power tanks and weapons systems do not require a specific design. They favor numbers and I think some of them including weapons are better grouped together. Power generators get bonuses for each block that extends them in any axis. Say you make a line of power generators. I believe that as long as the next block increases its size in one axis you get a bonus. These two generators get the bonus. (I'm also sure that its the same amount)

This generator is not as efficient because multiple extensions come off in the same direction

I believe after you reach 1 million recharge per second the bonus drops off and it is pointless to continue trying to get that bonus with these designs. It's entirely possible you will not have to worry about that on a ship as large as yours and can just throw power blocks anywhere till you hit that cap. If you want to try and go effiicient first, then run power blocks along the length of your ship and an extension to those "spines" going off in the other 4 directions. Just make sure these individual groupings do not touch the others and you get max efficiency.

Here's a new update. Couldn't find much time the last week and I'm also quite busy the next few but managed to get some progress.
Cityscape still under construction but at least i could build some sort of foundation (it's black i know but i thought it might look better when I build a greyish city.

For me it's big enough already. though bigger would be better ;)

I also made a miniature bridge. It's bigger than the "real thing" but i couldn't get it smaller.

Still need to do the cowling for the engines and the fuselage. Still need to figure out a few things but I think it will be finished in the next few days. And yes it's blue. In my opinion it looks better this way.

As always if anyone has good ideas in terms of details or looks I'd be very glad to hear them. Also I need someone who can build me some turrets cause I suck so bad at doing those. cheers guys
