Hi, I'm trying to do torpedo, i know push and pull module have been deleted.

I have tried to do this with no weapon on my torpedo but my ship wont ram into the isanth the torpedo just stay far away doing normal battle pattern but without weapon...

Is there a way to make torpedo or it's broken now?

    Torpedo doesn't work any longer.

    Bomb is the only alternative.

Yeah.. Maybe, but torpedo and handmade thing with warhead are a more creative way to do war. I will find a way to do this ^_^

    Agreed.

And for the record, there IS a way to make an unguided bomb-based torpedo; though they are somewhat larger than what I'm used to.

They can be "effective" against stationary targets, (with a few pluses and minuses) but the inertia effect that the bombs have make them impractical for ship to ship combat.

I just wish the push and stop effects were still around so we could make them move faster. A ram/pointblank setting for the AI would be nice as well now that the damage pulse is gone. Tractor beam (in push mode) and the push pulse seem to work poorly for this kind of device; though I'll test a few more options to make sure I haven't ruled them out prematurely.

To make torpedoes actually work you first need to have warhead damage working from a group basis instead of each block separately. Otherwise you are stuck praying for bugs and that enemy spaced armour is not wide enough.

My method uses the bombs and as such, requires no glitching. It even counters spaced armor to a degree even though that's not what it was designed for. Overall, I'm pleased with how it turned out.

It should be noted that the same rules apply to bombs as regular missiles.
    - Vulnerable to AMS
    - Lose half their damage on impact do to their explosion mechanic.
    - Multiple simultaneous explosions in the same spot deal little to no additional damage.

I made some oreo like projectile. I replaced the white milk part (yeah just imagine) with a fast rotating wheel with warhead as saw teeth.
I launch it with the red undocking rail.

Can do some damage to hull but its really random. But when the oreo hit, he create tiny breach. Pretty funny. But """effective""" only with static thing

Warhead are really good for creating exotic things, like a ork Waaaagh ship full of warhead in front of the ship, ramming into bigger ship...

I swear shema will debug it and keep this block in the game after the universe update

Sounds like a warhead sawblade launcher. Whammy Likes... (y)

However, my device doesn't leave a "tiny breach" when it hits.
