Make volley fire focused

    As far as there isn't a technical limitation i really would like to see this change.
    Right now volley fire seems like a waste of great potential.

    Turrets firing unfocused (especially point defense) aren't that useful.
    (one could put weapons outputs inline with center mass.... but why the hassle?)

    Also cannons seem underwhelming right now - especially when cannon cannon and volley fire are doing something very similar.

    But they stack and you end up with a "Ghost Gun" that can "disperse with 30 rounds in half a second." Otherwise, I totally agree with you and wish this was implemented. Plus, volley fire is handy if you want your cannons to shred things anime-style, and cannon-cannon is good for ULTIMATE PENETRATION.

    This is all true, unfocused fire has lots of disadvantages especially if your weapons dont line up with their target perfectly.

    Its also a problem with turret control right now. Turrets dont aim anywhere near where your cursor might be pointing, theyre more aiming along a similar path, starting from their focus of view instead of the players. So controlled focused fire turrets on the periphery of your craft also miss the target in the middle of your sights. If its narrower than their base setting.

    Unfocused fire has never been useful in my experience. It really should just go.

    Volley fire is nice, cannon-cannon is just a tad weak.

    I'd rather have two separate per-weapon selectors for volley/sequential and converging/parallel fire.
    I'm also kinda bummed beams can't use sequential fire mode. I may not use it, but I sure would be glad I can if I want to.

    They should just do acid damage so you can have one mega beam of salvage, really. It'd leave less patterning while mining.

    I had been thinking something similar tbh. No need for the damn waffle pattern salvage beams...
