    General Info:
    Hyper Light Starmade is the first legacy server that is dedicated to only the best quality of hosting. Running on an expertly crafted machine, the server facilitates both builders and PvP players alike, with no white-list, and a primary focus on PvP!

    Hyper Light Starmade is grounded in the theme of the game: 'Hyper light Drifter', a beautifully ground-breaking aesthetic of phenomenal pixel-art that can be translated easily to Starmade's own voxels. Our server has an extensive history that lead's players on a journey across the galaxy, in search of each new chapter of the story.

    Players can easily create sprawling factions or small, one-man factions alike, with a reversed Faction Point system that is reliant on the claiming of systems for each additional member of a faction





    Rules:
    1. This is a PvP server, be ready to defend everything you have, being attacked DOES NOT constitute as griefing
    2. Keep public chat reasonably clean, no flaming
    3. Do not leave the starting galaxy
      - The max system distance from any actual system (with a star) is 3 SYSTEMS, after that, any player-made entities WILL be deleted
    4. No more than 120 docked entities attached to each-other
    5. There is a mass limit of 250k mass for ships, which INCLUDES docked entities
    6. There is a max of 2000 output beams, regardless of any type, on any entity
    7. Any station above a mass 500k (including docked entities) will be inspected for lag, there is a HARD-CAP of 2mil mass
    8. Any structures/entities causing lag will be inspected and will be subject to IMMEDIATE-DELETION
      - Reimbursement MAY be available in SOME cases
    9. Fleet Rules:
      1. No more than 24 ships in a fleet
      2. Turrets should be able to freely float away when detached
      3. Fleet ships shouldn't have any attached entities that aren't one of the turrets, NO RAIL DOORS
      4. A maximum of 48 turrets is allowed PER FLEET
      5. Only 2 fleets PER BATTLE. If we find any more than 2 fleets deployed from one faction, we will immediately delete ALL deployed fleets
    10. NO EXPLOITS! If we find any player exploiting, ALL of their entities and items will be IMMEDIATELY DELETED, and they will be perma-banned and any faction members will be temp-banned

    Does "ETA: soon" mean less than 1 month until you are definitely opening the finished server? Or 2 weeks?

    Even though, if I think about it, even if the weapons update hits, Starmade could have so many broken things (trading, shipyards, turret AI maybe, factories, entity corrupting bugs maybe again (like they were in the early 2017)?), that the legacy server will still be attractive for the next 6 months! So even if you need 2 months to release the server it will be worth it.

    Even though, if I think about it, even if the weapons update hits, Starmade could have so many broken things (trading, shipyards, turret AI maybe, factories, entity corrupting bugs maybe again (like they were in the early 2017)?), that the legacy server will still be attractive for the next 6 months! So even if you need 2 months to release the server it will be worth it.
    Closer to 2 weeks, though we can't confirm anything. We're just saying soon until everything for the server is 100% in place so we don't delay and disappoint if something goes wrong

    Where will the server be hosted then? - Seem to remember you mentioning Canada (interested becuse ping from EU may not be good / might actually be okay compared to other places).

    Well, I'd expect the ping to be high for myself, but no worse than what I've dealt with before.
    On a tangent: roid respawn on or off?

    Edit: actually we're getting UFO here soon, so ping might not be quite so bad.

    Roid respawn but really low. That way no faction can be completely burnt out of resources, but they aren't so abundant and ridiculous

    and less likelihood of the old humping respawning roids! ;D

    well, ill certainly give the server a go. had I the know how and disposeable income id have set one up myself ages ago. stations are just a bit poo in the current builds.

    Right forgot to announce that here as well lmao, yeah 16th of June is when the server is releasing. We tried to get it released closer to two weeks but life said no, especially if we want it to release with no issues :p

    Well, I hopped on to test the ping (which at 115 was reasonable for a UK-US connection)... however, I fell through the lift (elevator) at spawn and became trapped underneath. Chose to align with it so at relog I'd at least be near its stop point... the lift was named "penis". O_____o
    So, um you may want to sort your penis lift out!

    Edit: managed to escape and found my fp had gone from 100 to -65 with zero claims in ~10 hours. might want to tweak that too. seems others have had issues as well. i can deal with ahigher drain and the need to claim more systems to gain fp, but considering my start with immediately getting trapped (and presuming others have had the same), might be an idea to up the starter fp, and lower the drain a little?

    Edit2: ZERO mining bonus in unclaimed systems? - so from spawning you can mine minerals, and nothing more... id accept getting low yeild ores, but none is just pants.

    Our penis elevator has been breaking for everyone and it's been infuriating as I tested that thing for a solid hour to make sure it wouldn't break :p

    Also we had an issue with FP as there was an extra zero in there, now that it's all been balanced out it should be working perfectly, though we'd recommend reforming your faction.

    I'll up the unclaimed mining to 1, didn't realize that Starmade would actually give nothing at that point, thought it'd just be no extra lmao

    Loving the feedback though, thanks for taking the time to post <3

    So what exactly IS the fp drain / system ownership req right now? I do recall you stating single player factions should be fine in your original outreach forum post (please do correct me if im wrong of course).
