Personally, I think this is a great idea. Doesn't matter that it's redundant in SM. It's freaking cool for rp.Okay, so this isn't a ship (clearly) but here's an idea I've been playing around with...it's a target acquisition / scouting periscope!

The periscope camera sits in an encasing on top of the ship's bridge and is mounted on a turret ring, with the core mounted inside the bridge at deck level. The idea is that a player can use this to spot targets in a 360 degree arc without having to turn the ship itself. At the moment the periscope only has horizontal rotation but I might play around with this idea a little more and improve on it.

I'm also planning a variant that will be used in the SWS fleet as a hospital ship.

I wanna stick some side-mounted turrets on her but tbh I'm having a hard time figuring out where they should go lol!
