    Long time no see ya'll.

    I love Starmade, but the problem I've always had, and the one that made me drop the game awhile back is this;
    I don't know how to keep my creative juices flowing when it comes to building things. I just, can never get a design settled in my head, and when I think I have, I always stop have way thru to move on to something way big and 'better'.

    So I ask y'all this, what do you do to keep yourself going and to get yourself to finish projects.

    Thanks,

    I made a thread just for this a while back and update here and there: Solutions to "Build Block" / Creative Block

    If you feel it doesnt cover your own block, let me know via PM and we can chat and I'll see if i can come up with something especially for you!

    Building smaller helps me tremendously! I have so much fun building smaller ships since you can walk away in an hour or two with something that is fun. Try building silly things like Space bikes!

    +1 for smaller builds. It's the main reason why my shipyard thread has gone on for 16 pages. I find that at 50 meters long, you can bang out a nice looking corvette/gunship in a few hours and that a weekend can net you decent light frigate in the 100-150 meter range if you push it.

    Super small builds (less than 500 mass) can test the limits of your creativity in ways that are hard to predict. I've made everything from fighters, tanks, power armor, police cars, construction vehicles and even space monsters...
    When building at a smaller scale, you can give form to a lot of your ideas and changing your mind is far less likely to cause a build-breaking event.

    There's an old saying; "Done, is always better than perfect".

    I second this. It's a challenge to fit a good ship into a few blocks, and it can be very fun!

    I don't seem to have this problem, sorry. Maybe you just need to practice focusing, rather than embracing your ADHD?

    Small ships most definitely, but also turning 2D ships from other videogames into 3D!

    Yes! Literally every one of my fighters is a remake from an 80s-90s arcade style shooter. I really need to remake them all in my new standard scale.
