    But is it possible to consider replacing opengl with this in the future? or an option for people to choose? I mean maybe some ways to activate ReShade in a easier way, without messing around with replacement files.
    It uses opengl, it requires version 4.3 i think. Several versions higher than our current requirements to try cater to older hardware.

    As for bundling it with SM? No. They specify not to redistribute or upload their files to anywhere other than the reshade git.
    Free to a user and being able to distribute are very different, It would breach copyright laws.

    Plus there is the inefficiency of using expensive reshade shaders when we could create and optimize our own later on down the road specifically for SM.

    Small decorative ideas post incoming.
    Iris Valve (easy to find good images)
    Fake fuel or item transfer point on docks, endpoint for conduit, many rp uses.

    (just repaired one IRL)
    Radiator Block
    Full block no transparent parts intended. Obvious enough uses, but heavy machinery, turret sexyness, and even power transformers.

    PS. Would it be possible to get buttons and activators a "slab" form that is the thinnest slab but does not extend fully to the edges?
    For instance I could have it on a display block and have a title showing just above and behind the button.

    Hey kupu , would it be possible to have the undeathinator look like some sort of cryo-ish pod with a black player-ish silhouette visible through a frosted glass-ish door-ish thing on the front?

    I think a single block is a good idea
    I did a quick google search on "scifi clone pod" in images.
    I saw this picture at this link, it's a pretty good idea of what I was thinking of.

    apparently in real life this is an actual toy that you can buy. Crazy right?

    The main problem i have with cryo pods or clone chambers or anything of the sort; is that players already build these things in a more convincing fashion than a block with it drawn on could.

    If it's a single block the scale looks like it stores a baby, not a Dave. If we use a multi block, it suffers from rotation problems and having to craft or find two blocks to make a single item... perhaps a little tedious. Or worse yet, lazy players have a tank of legs as a respawn point...

    As a concept, cryo pods and clone tubes are all really cool. It conjures up some pretty neat imagery. But there are several sticking points when actually creating it. The image above looks neat, but when viewing more than 1 face of the cube at a time you will have 3 non connected images of a person "inside".

    I think i'm more inclined to shy away from such things for the aforementioned reasons. Making this idea a reality is looking to achieve none of the things you'd actually want in a convincing manner.

    I would be more interested in tackling this a slightly different way. Allowing the undeathinator to look like the controls to a "insert respawn device here" and provide some relatively multi purpose deco blocks that can double up as cryo tubes, or goo containers, etc so you can carry on building your own themed respawn points, and the link point no longer looks like a red light...

    I was thinking something like what alterintel posted, but as a single block and only glass on the front. The players could be sitting with their knees up against their chests. Another interesting idea would be to make it look like a transporter, but another colour like red. When players spawn it would flash and the transporter effect would appear.

    I still want my transporter-like undeathinator... :p
    I support this, if the undeathinator block had some kind of computer console/display on the 4 sides, and a transporter like texture on the top and bottom it would fit really well into peoples already made spawn chambers, as either a control interface or the actual spawn point.

    Funny, I just spent the last few hours working on my own camera and Bobby textures with iris shutters.
    Nice work mate! I couldn't see a thread of yours in this sub forum, if you are planning on creating a complete pack you should definitely make one. I'm sure we'd all like to see more. :)

    It's been a while. Fell out of Starmade back when my comp could barely keep up, but rails and logic have me a little inspired again. We'll see what happens.

    Just had a thought which lead me to a question. Not sure if this is the best place to ask but I'm pretty sure Kupu will be able to answer :)

    Would it be possible to implement a change allowing glass/crystal blocks to be linked to a light block in order to change the colour of the tint?

    So here's something really off topic, a bit of lazy Sunday fun.

    You may of seen Crusades recent thread about using Reshade with Starmade to allow 3rd party shader effects. Well, i had to give this a go and create my own profile. It looked way too fun not to!

    I didn't want to go overboard, just some colour grading and old cinema feelings (with a few features such as FXAA ^^ )







    For any of you interested in this side of things, i'd recommend you check it out and mess around with it, it's great fun.

    Disclaimer : Incase you didn't read the words "Reshade" "3rd Party" and "fun", this is not indicative of what is, or will be in the game. :)

    Damn that's a nice shade of pink. Well done. As for Ballerina Dave with nipples, I'm not entirely sure I'm sold on that, but I'll reserve my judgement for when that makes it into the Dev build.
