Negative Review: GenXNova- My (Unfortunate) Experience

I actually was in team speak when this all happened - and do not belong to either of the factions nor was I really involved with the argument other then being forced to listen to it - but this is what happened - someone used his FIRST name - not his whole name not his location or anything like that in TS3 - and he rather then asked don't say that man freaked out and told not asked TOLD the admin to ban everyone in chat so they couldn't release the info into the game - the admin said he was not gonna ban 12 players just cause someone said a first name - he proceeded to freak out scream profanity's at the admin till the admin pulled him out of chat to talk to him and then finally logged out after throwing a enormous temper tantrum on the team speak and is now leaving the genxnova community

so that is what really happened not this made up story of heartbreak and sorrow he crapped out for you folks

I know Lecic quite well. That is not at all something he would do.

what reason do I have to lie?
as I stated I'm not involved in the fight and have no love for the person you were arguing with ( I've called him jack ass to his face many times) so I have no reason to call you out on this unless you are making things up

I simply state what server I play on nothing more - I also link my account to my steam info does that make me promoting steam or just make it easy for people to find me? I simply state what server I am on so my friends can find me

just as you post what faction you are in I simply post where my faction plays

but believe who you want I'm not really gonna keep stating a point here - the dude freaked out and wanted 12 people banned for a first name that anyone who can read can figure out the admins refused - believe what you wish but thats what happened

I mean, its the typical Blackhawk, but its only your name. I am not gonna say that all of the twelve guys should get banned, but Blackhawk must get at least a temporary ban. I think i would react the same way, but my twitter has my full name.

Man with all these servers losing players I'm half tempted to start mine back up.

Now im abit defencive of GenXnova yes but what do you want them to do ban all of them for reading your name backwards and finding out shit you've posted everywhere?

Knowing Lecic I don't see any situation where they would ask for that to happen, only action to be taken against the offender.

If one can provide evidence that Lecic did ask for them to be removed I would be interested in that, other wise I would say this is the result of a misunderstanding/mishearing.

I am very sad to see that you are having issues on our server, however we are a community server, and fair play is our top priority.

I certainly have the logs that would show such requests for bans to be made, but I will not be providing these, as the issue on hand seems to be with personal information, so requests for me to be releasing more information and logs seems counter-intuitive to the situation.

It is a shame that personal issues between players had to be turned into a server issue, a negative review. We, the server, the community as a whole, are not responsible for this. Regardless of whether your name is your username spelled backwards or not, it doesn't matter.

Doxxing refers to information that can specifically identity a person. Throughout this entire situation, only a firstname as been said, and I can promise you there is more than 1 person with whatever your name is in the StarMade community, let alone the world. There has been no information released that would allow someone to personally identity exactly who you are.

As a community, we work as a community. Almost all of us have shared our first names, even last names. A community server wants to know eachother, wants to be with eachother, have fun with eachother, and your post has turned a non-issue into attention that you likely did not want. Your post complains of information being shared, yet only brings to light the request for more information to be shared, it brings to light the exact information you did not want to be known.

While I do understand your concerns, and please don't think we don't care, but I will not, and have no reason to, ban players from our server for knowing the first name of another. It serves no purpose, we are not the police. Banning them would simply have them move on to another server. I understand if you leave our server, but I see not the point of ruining the experience for others as well. Banning them would not make them stop knowing what your firstname is, and there's nothing we can do to undo that. I understand your issue, trust me, but banning is not the solution for this, in fact I am failing to see exactly why we should. They could just as easily post your name on these forums, the same as you have posted again GenXnova.

I hope that this issue can be reflected to see that the issue is between 2 players, and their interactions they have had with eachother. While we as a server will not allow inappropriate activity, we will not allow trolls, and we will not allow doxxers; but, no doxxing has been done, and the conversation between you and Blackhawk was exactly that, between you and Blackhawk.

In any situation, Bobby and I as the server administration will do our best to assess the issue from both sides, and address what needs to be taken care of, but this is simply a personal issue, an issue between a player and another player, that the administration has no business in.

If you have any further questions or issues, please, let me know and we will be happy to address it, but in the current situation there is nothing to be done.
