Galactic Forge Industries is the new manufacturer of top scouting vessels, fighters and small corvettes.

First of lets start with the Pathfinder MK2 Series:

From left to right: Patrol Version (Red and Blue) - Stealth Version (unfortunately to small for effective cloaking) - Race Version (no weapons nor shields, just engines)

    More to come soon ;)

And here is my new one: the \"Bold Liner\".

Its a civilian corvette-class ship by now but I\'ll do a military version of it later I guess.

Have a look and feel free to tell me your opinions ;)

    Thank you! =D

I\'ve already thought of a cargoship and I\'ll build it right after I have finished the military version of the Bold Liner, which is btw nearly done ^^

Well... due the fact that the armed version of the Bold Liner looks the same (except for two amc blocks, the rest of the weaponsystems are onboard) I\'m not gonna upload antoher picture of it ;)

Nevertheless my new ship: the GFI Cruiser

It is my biggest ship so far and not realy finished yet. I guess I\'ll do a few hull changes and add more of an interior (there is by now only the bridge).
@Wills124: Unfortunately its not a cargo ship. The design I had in mind for it didn\'t worked as well as I thought =/

    Any suggestions or criticism?

I added wings and stuff (thanks to RedDwarfIV for the suggestion) and heres the result: I\'m not really satisfied how the overall appearance of the cruiser turned out, so this project is on ice until I get some fresh ideas for it.

In the meantime I\'ve started a new ship, please welcome the GFI Runner:

And here is the long expected workhose by GFI: The Cargo Liner!

It can carry a payload up to 21x8x15 so just perfect to get a small turret to your shipyard or a container filled with some earl grey tea :D

btw. the runner got a stylish stripe on its hull, too. Going to add a screenshot in the next post I guess

The design of the cargo ship was mostly inspired by the Hiigarian marine frigate from Homeworld

Just look arounf the web and find some spaceship designs which you can adopt or just be inspired by. One of my favourite sites is : http://conceptships.blogspot.com/
Just take a look and of course thanks for your comment :D

I like the thruster effects you\'ve added to the images, I haven\'t seen anyone do that before. As for the ships, they\'re good, but they could do with a bit more detail. Some parts just look a bit flat, maybe you could add a couple of indents or something, or maybe an insignia, or ribs. Just something to add a bit of detail, it doesn\'t have to be much.

@HJK148: Yeah I\'m trying to find my style. I guess I go with the red streak over one side of a ship, like my cargo ship has and my newest one, too. ;)

Speaking of. My new corvette-size ship. She still needs some litte touch-ups but mostly finished ( maybe two or three small turrets and some minor hull changes to be done)

If those two heatseekers are on the same computer, when they fire they\'ll just chase themselves.

Theres small progress on my corvette.
Added the turrets (GFI standard AMC turrets). I guess the front needs some big improvements. Any suggestions?

She is finished! I left the front nearly as it was and done some other hull changes.
Ouh and btw. Shes now classified: \'Valkyrie-Class\' is the term I\'ll go with by now.

    Features:
-6 small turbofan engines for VTOL capabilities in amtospheres
    -4 AMC Arrays
    -2 Dumb Missile Arrays
-3 AMC Turrets (2 small arrays each)
-Positionlights (red on the right side and green on the left side)

That Valkyrie-Class ship looks great, I wasn\'t a big fan of the original design but all the extra details really make this a solid looking design.

Also is there some space rule that I am unaware of that reverses the red/green marking lights? All the ships I\'ve seen use them have them opposite of current aviation standards (which I follow). I know you might think right = red but this is actually backwards.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_warning_lights
\"The wingtip navigation lights are required to consist of a red light on the left wingtip and a green light on the right wingtip.\"

I\'m glad you like the ship now =D

About the lights: I was just not sure if the red light goes to the left or right. I don\'t know if there is some kind of spacerule for navigation lights.. But thanks for the advice, I\'ll change the colours ;)
