Sins Of A Solar Empire (Kol Class Battleship)

So a few friends of mine decided we were all going to start making some sins ships. A friend of mine started working on one of the TEC Titans... And stupidly I decided to start working on the Kol, since it is like my favorite TEC ship. Anyways, I have a few pictures of the progress so far...

But... I need your guy's help. Is there any way I can taper those sides more to make it look less ... rectangular... and more... hexagonish?

Sort of a weird question, but this is my first ship. And I really want it to look good.

Looks like youre off to a good start.

I\'m not sure what you mean by hexagons, but if you want the sides to look tapered, gradually add another layer on moving down the hull to increase the width of the ship if you see what i mean by that.

Would love some more insight from people. I haven\'t gotten to work on it much lately, but I plan to start putting the time into tapering those edges more. Then adding the bottom armor layor, and the hanger. As well as finishing the front.

What you\'re doing already to make it look like a hexagon seen from the front looks about the right thing. Only suggestion I have is making it more so; the Kol\'s sides seem to slope all the way to the level of that circular thing & the hanger bays on the side. So, I\'d just change the point where the slope begins to further down, maybe make it more gradual since you\'ve got the ship\'s top width looking right too. Instead of going \"in one, up one,\" I\'d go \"in one, up two or three or so.\" You might also want to hide the right angles with angled pieces, that\'ll make it look a lot smoother.

Looks really good so far, and kudos on going for the Kol!

Thats impressive. I feel like his scale is much bigger then mine. And I\'m scaling mine to a TEC Titan... I do like how he tapered the front of his. I am gonna have to see how hard it would be to recreate that.

The real scaled kol battle ship is a real gaint massive ship for starmade that is alot longer than a sector

but soon I think someone mite be building one that is full scale just have to watchout for a guy that is building the real deal

but the ship your building is pretty off of a good start
