Borg Cube

Im relatively new to this game, but i think that there should be some more Star Trek style ships out there. That being said, ive taken it upon myself to build one of the most basic ship designs: a Borg Cube. This isnt going to just be some 50x50 box, I plan to make it at least 300x300x300 for a scaled down version with all of the little imperfections on the hull that give a borg cube its character. Hopefully, this should come out looking nice as I consider myself a skilled minecraft builder, and I am pretty fimiliar with the game mechanics by now. This should be done sometime at the end of this week or early next. I will post screenshots if I remember, but when it is finished, I will upload it to the ships page. If you like this when it is completed, I will start work on a full sized one.

Ok, I\'ve been working and here\'s whats done so far:

-Core Consisting of power cells and shields (size 25x25x25 [May make this bigger]

-Cube Faces

-Started working on the exterior detail of the cube

I am also building Star Trek themed ships, today I finished the prototype of a 5000 mass (so far) Federation style starship, with absolute craptons of turrets (because weapons aren\'t reliable when you can barely turn). It has 40000 shield regen per second. I feel good about this ship\'s performance in the future, even if it costs like 50 million credits.

It is not currently finished, but I will contiue to post pictures as I complete more of the cube. As to it not having weapons, It will have plenty once its finished. Im just working on the exterior right now, then I will move on to the interior, then the weapons.

Also, let me add, that you shouldn\'t expect this too soon as I dont have that much free time and detailing the outside is a much bigger task than I expected. The interior detailing shouldn\'t take too much time however, due to the fact that I do not plan to fill the cube with rooms because, if I did that, it would be extremely hard to navigate to the core. Don\'t worry though, the inrerior is still going to be pretty big.

Amazing looking borg cube. I\'m surprised we havent seen more of them in the game, considering the entire box dimension nonsense pretty much ensures box shapes will be most efficent.

I think it looks AMAZING. I also like that you\'re using Hardened Hull instead of regular Hulll. I always find myself replacing all the hull in other ships I buy.THanks, keep up the great work :D.

I think the hallways are a little too smooth and bright; I would get rid of the wedges at the bottom and some of the lights, then mix in some other hulls to give it a little more of a texture.

I\'m having trouble finding a good example of a hallway, so here is a picture from voyager: Elite Force

And don\'t forget the massive open areas

By the way; don\'t be afraid to throw in some gray hulls and red or yellow lights.

I agree, even though it is not finished, people will make their own variation on your design anyway, which is good, that way you will get many different designs for the borg cube.
