plusnine's Default Pack Extension for Servers and Clients

plusnine's Default Pack Extension for Servers and Clients 2015-11-21a.

    • Updated all hulls, emblems, and letters to match the look of the current Starmade Default Pack look.
    • Removed several inactive/underutilized emblems to make room for Shogunate Season 2 content. It was becoming too much work to maintain them through the recent changes in the hulls, anyhow.
    • Added a new animated block: Corrupted Essence, which is craftable in a basic factory from 4 Corrupted Emblems. These look and act like Green Forcefields, but will also serve as a token currency on the Mushroom Fleet server.
    • Changed Slate Grey Standard Armor to be a bit more blue in color, since it was made redundant by the addition of Dark Grey Standard Armor.
Note: The BlockConfigImport.xml included with this release had to made compatible with StarMade v.19498 in mind, and is not compatible with v.19488 or earlier. Due to a lack of available Custom block IDs, the custom hulls in the pack do not have slab options (yet).

The new slate is below at top-right, in between Teal Standard and Navy Advanced:

    Corrupted Essence in action:

    Party on, people~
    • Replaced "CNSA Emblem" with "SGF Emblem".
    • Replaced "Blue Sun Emblem" with "Corrupted Emblem".
    • Replaced "Orc Emblem" with "Space Ape Emblem".
    • Updated emission maps for all blocks to better match the hulls in the default texture pack.
    • Added "Biscuit Emblem", "Freeman Emblem" and "Warrior Emblem".
    • Added "Green Screen (Chromakey)" and "Green Screen Wedge (Chromakey)" blocks for cinematic purposes. These are intentionally expensive to produce (the recipe requires a "Delta 1").
    • Added "One-Way Glass" - created from glass and grey standard armor, this restores the ability to create a wall of glass that appears as grey standard armor from the opposite side.
    • As part of balance changes for the server I play on, I have changed the recipe for the "Delta 1" to no longer require Metal Grills in the manufacturing process. Alloyed Metal Mesh and Crystal Composite are used instead, and the cost has been doubled. Players on the Mushroom Fleet server should notice no change in their rate of Delta acquisition vs. time spent mining, as we've buffed the capsule refinery's strength.
    • Tweaked the look of the "Symtech Emblem" and renamed it to "Symtech Pirate Emblem"
    • Renamed "Nova Emblem" to "Nova Pirate Emblem"
    • Added emissive maps to a few emblems as requested by their faction owners
    - The first major update to the pack. You will want to to roll back to a StarMade default BlockConfig.xml for the current patch and re-import the new BlockConfigImport.xml, making any tweaks to your single player or server you had previously in terms of commenting things out. Otherwise you may miss out on a few small fixes and tweaks made to existing blocks. Do NOT load your game without having successfully imported the new BlockConfigImport.xml file or your in-game custom blocks may evaporate in any loaded sectors!
    - Emission maps have been added to all blocks to keep up to date with the StarMade default pack. As a result, the light-emitting properties of the animated displays and faction emblems have been removed and replaced with emission maps. This results in a significantly larger file size, so all the more reason to have players download and install the pack themselves and not rely on the currently rather inadequate server transmission feature.
    - Added a "Panel" set of six decorative two-state Logic blocks; they can also be operated by hand (just like a Light block). These can be found under General -> Logic in the shop. Each is crafted by combining 1 Build Block with 1 Activation Module in an Advanced Factory.
    - Removable Panel (panel is removed to show exposed circuitry)
    - Airlock Panel (open / closed - great for door monitors)
    - Ready Panel (please wait / ready - great for displaying a logic sequence status, elevators, etc)
    - Decontamination Panel (standby / in progress - great for medical or airlock theatrics)
    - Connection Panel (online / offline - great for turret monitors or ship damage indicators)
    - Directional Panel (note: can be oriented to be either a left-right or an up-down arrow alternator - great for factories, elevators, docking systems)
    - Added a new decorative "Keyboard Monitor" block to the Standard Factory. It costs 10 crystal composite to make.
    - Added Slate Standard Armor set. This is crafted in a Standard Factory from 1 Black Hull, 3 Macet Capsules and 3 Sapsun Capsules, making it nearly identical, if a bit darker than Grey Standard Armor.
    - Some small Tweaks to some existing faction emblems, and some new arrivals. You know who you are. Thanks for the great designs.
    CHANGELOG:
    2015-08-22 a.
    =========================================
    • A small update to the config files. Starmade's block config importer for creating new groups doesn't seem to be making the same allowances as it was a few days ago during testing. I don't seem to be able to create new groups within the "Decoration" category, which had the effect of not importing about half of the blocks in the pack. I have re-filed all the blocks into existing categories or moved them up to the hull tab where creating new categories is being more forgiving.
      • PN-Wood moved to Terrain
      • PN-Font moved to Hull
      • MF-Logo moved to Hull
      • Displays now found under General -> Decorative
      • Hazard blocks now found under General->Decorative -> Hazard
      • Emblem Blocks now functioning (but must be spawned in by an admin)
      • Delta Blocks moved to Manufacturing (but must be spawned in by an admin or crafted)
    • With the implementation of Creative Mode, it is important to note that creative mode only gives access to blocks that are available from shops. Crafted items with the <inShop> set to false will not appear in Creative Mode.
    • Users upgrading from the previous version will need to roll back their \data\config\BlockConfig.xml to its default Starmade state before importing the new \customBlockConfig\BlockConfigImport.xml
