Pro´s: heavy weapory, heavy and thick armor, good handling, good against equally sized and bigger ships
Con´s: slow, slow turning speed, bad against small ships (should always be in company with smaller frigates and/or fighters)
To set the lighting quality (raytrace steps) to max is recommended otherwise you wont see much inside.
DISCLAIMER: it´s my 2nd big projekt I have finished so far...but there are still some things I have to do in terms of interior desingn. It also can still be considered as training and may not work as good as a ship this size should.
History: the Conqueror Class was the state of the art stellar and later interstellar Battleship of the Empire used mostly in the 3rd great war. Many Battles were fought with this ship.
This is the latest version and despite some scratches and a missing turret this old lady still has what it takes.
It´s first mission took place at the Battle over Centauri B where the Empire finally conquered their homeplanet Centauri B back from the CU (Colonial Union) better known as just Union.
This battle gave the ship It´s name.
The union proposed a truce and the Empire agreed.
This ended the 2nd Great War between these two big factions. But a new even bigger and more devastating conflict was on the way as the Empire once again declared war on the Union...the 3rd and last Great War began.
After the 2nd Great War the kilometer long dreadnought's and superdreadnought's class was dying out due to the immense costs they produced. Smaller and more efficient spacecrafts had to be made.
With that the production of the Conqueror Battleship went in series.
It began with the biggest Invasion mankind has ever seen on Centauri A from the Empire. Weapons of all kind were used including nuclear warheads.
Fleets over fleets with the Empire's latest ship were sent along with many massive carriers. But against all odds the Union could hold the massive attack back. Battles over Battles were fought. Decades long there was no going back or forth.
The 3rd Great War ended when the Union used a so called Cannonship...a weapon stronger and more powerfull than any other.
Many fleets of Conqueror Battleships were sent to destroy it. But the Union fleet defeated the Empire's one...there was nothing they could do anymore.
The Cannonship destroyed about 90% of Centauri B`s surface killing billions of people. The Empire was forced surrender unconditionally.
