While being not-so-bad overall, Leonov class definitely had some design flaws due to its compact size, such as impossibility to charge its jumpdrive with active jammer. This fact alone made it unsuitable for long-range cargo routes, since it needed to recharge its jumpdrive in relative safety of nearest station. So we are happy to provide our first long-range vessel, the Gagarin class.

Gagarin class is not only capable of charging its jumpdrive while actively jamming and maneuvering, though. It also features the brand new linear port cargo mount for two containers, which allows you to load/unload containers from any loading pad to any container mount. The Prichal cargo pier is no more required for proper operation and thus is completely removed from the package.

    Cargo Container specifications and controls

Gagarin class features one C-shaped cargo mount for two containers, which is compatible with standard or automated GW-91 cargo containers or any 25m-long or smaller cargo containers with docking hooks no futher than 9m from the edge (although we do not guаrantee optimal performance of the ship should you use cargo containers much larger than GW-91)

The containers can be dropped automatically into loading facilities. To do so, you should dock the ship (using any docking port, to align the ship with station's cargo processing facilities). After doing so, choose the container and toggle the desired mount to unload, then enable processing switch. The rest of the procedure will be performed automatically - the container will be moved to the desired cargo mount and the lock will be released. To load container, select the mount, switch cargo system to load mode and select the pickup point, then enable processing. If you select the already occupied mount, nothing will change, but the red Error light will flash for 1 second.

    GW-91 AUTO
GW-91 Auto is basically the standard GW-91 cargo container by Gasboy. The main differences are the fourth access hatch and 6 extra dockers meant to be used in automatic cargo systems. You can find more containers here
