D4GR-A2 Dagger Assault Corvette

    D4GR-A2 Dagger Assault Corvette A3 Mk4

The D4GR corvette family's initial reception was overall good, but it became pretty obvious that the vessels lacked in certain crucial areas. The ship was designed small, but ended up being too small to be relevant, and while being cost-effective, concerns were raised about the ship's actual combat effectiveness.

To meet the refreshed requirements, the D4GR-A Assault Corvette was subjected to a thorough refit. The chassis' length was increased by 17 meters to accomodate more potent offensive and defensive systems. This also allowed an extra 2 anti-fighter rapidfire turrets to be installed, and the main LRM batteries to be changed to vertical launch to prevent interference with the turrets' line of fire. The original engine pod mounted launchers were kept, but instead fire multiple low-yield LRM missiles to better combat small craft and serve as a decoy for enemy AMS. The vessel's shield capacity was increased to 200000 with a recharge rate of 8000/sec, while retaining the 60% ion reinforcement. The thrust/mass ratio was increased to 1.4, and the main autocannon battery was also reworked to output a total of 4008 damage with a reload time of 287 ms, allowing a lower fire rate but a much better efficiency against armored targets. The old Dagger's graviton machine gun was retained along with the jump inhibitor to make escape of hostiles more difficult.
The ship's interior was also redesigned. The most obvious change is the addition of a transporter on the main deck, as well as one of the crew rooms refurbished into a galley with the use of bunk beds in the remaining quarters to accomodate the same number of crew - most of the Dagger crews pointed out that there were willing to give up some living space for proper food.
The main engineering/core room was also refurbished, with maintenance hatches giving better access to the ship's systems.
The upper deck was expanded to offer better view from the bridge - which was previously blocked entirely by the turret in front of it - and to add a small cargo hold and the new captain's quarters (to the great satisfaction of Dagger COs who previously had to share a room with the other crew members)

TL,DR: I re-fit the Dagger Assault variant for the MiniMade server's 3K mass cap (made sure it doesn't hit the 3K even with a full cargo hold though)

    Mass(total with rails):2962

Graviton machine gun: cannon/cannon/stop(100%) 8x21 damage
    Vertical launch missile battery (x2): missile/beam/explosive 4x64800 damage, 45 s reload
Forward launch missile battery: missile/beam 24x3600 damage, 45s reload

    Turrets:
6x Peashooter twin machine gun turret (cannon/cannon/overdrive)
    12x Flyswatter AMS turret

    Utility: 60% Ion defensive
    Chaindrive by alterintel

I hope the vessel serves its intended purpose well, and I'd appreciate any feedback to help me further improve on it.

It's simple, rugged, and under 3k. I hope it serves you well on the minimade server. I'll be picking it apart to steal your good ideas though lol

Glad you liked it... ya stinkin' thief (jk feel free to take it apart, I'm probably not the best to learn from regarding compact systems anyway)
