Babylon 5 Omega Destroyer

    Babylon 5 Omega Destroyer 1.0

Following the Earth-Minbari War, the Omega Class Destroyer became the most powerful and ubiquitous capital ship of the Earthforce fleet. It was stated that if one of these ships appeared in your system, you were in serious trouble as this ship was one of the most powerful ever built by the younger races.

Wanted to make this since I first started playing this game about 3 weeks ago, can't believe I haven't seen one yet! Scaled it to 1:10 as I wanted to do a proof of concept before I take on a full scale model at 1714m. And yes, the middle section rotates. :)

    Features:
Dual forward mount beams and cannons
    Quad aft-mount beams and cannons
36 port & 36 starboard dumb fire missile launchers (never used in the show, but they were there)
12 rapid fire AMC turrets (to mimic the interceptor grid)
    Jump capable

    Build Specs:

Notes: Unfortunately I couldn't work out a good method for entering the rotating section from inside. Tried a few things with logic and doors, but it was always clunky. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Also the rear section is supposed to be zero-g as well as the forward, but logic and gravity don't play nicely (v.19431). ;)

Unzip the file into your Starmade blueprints directory.

Finally a Babylon 5 capital, even if scaled down :)

I'd love a 1:2 scale version as it would be somewhat manageable ingame. A full scale version might be only for show as it puts way too much stress on most computers.
Have you tried area triggers linked to gravity modules to automatically put you/switch you to gravity when entering the rotating module and back?

Thanks for the feedback, I'll consider a 1:2 version. I really wanted full scale purely because it would be awesome to dock a full complement of Starfury fighters. ;)
WOOOOO! The first omega destroyer I have seen! if it were a bit bigger, that would be even better, but its an omega none the less, and in great detail.

By the way, what I would suggest is to not go full 1714m, and instead go for around 400 or 500m long, because at 1714, it will be too absurdly large for the game to handle. (P.S you could just have the rotating section stop so that people can get into it for now.)

Thanks for the ideas, I have an idea now how to make it work. Will try to incorporate it into the larger version.
